 Why can't you just make the spawning spots not a pk area for the opposing team?
 
 |  You guys aren't getting it. When I say it bypasses any sort of scripting logic, I mean it bypasses any sort of scripting logic . I tried many attempts to circumvent the issue, but it's very, very persistent. The biggest issue is that you could even be PKed by your own team members(which is what a lot of players were doing to boost kills). Chances are, no-PK wouldn't have an effect either. The way these deaths were occurring were not being treated like a regular death by the client. You could be killed by team mates, you were dropping items(even if it was disabled), you were gaining kills(even though you shouldn't have).
 
It's a very terrible glitch and despite emailing Stefan about it, I don't think he's going to fix it. It has something to do with being moved while dead(I think it might be moved, but not to a different map. CTF is all on the same map) and it basically confuses the hell out of the client and server. The server thinks you have full health, the client however does not heal you. Since hit detection is clientside though, it means you die in a single hit, and there's no way to fix it since you can only heal players serverside... which thinks the player has full health already. |
