The Piano

Somewhere either before the Spring of 2013, in the middle, or at the end a glitch was discovered. This glitch involved the piano in Snowtown and gralats. Someway, somehow, players were able to buy a piano for free and sell it for the halved price. From my sources, the admins had no way in telling who had exploited this glitch. The admins had then made the piano unable to sell from your furniture. A little while after this was implemented, MrToasterTarts saw the piano and thought,"Hmm, I wonder if I can learn the basics of the piano with this?" He bought it only to find that he did not enjoy the piano at all. Keep in mind MrToasterTarts has spent 50,000g on something he now sees as a piece of garbage. MrToasterTarts decides to sell it. But wait! He can't! The admins blocked his only way in receiving even half of what he spent! MrToasterTarts finds out more about this. He sits down and thinks,"What did I do to be taunted like this? It'll probably sit there forever. Never to be used. Wasted gralats. I don't even know how to glitch. I only have 500 hours, I hardly know anything about this game. What am I going to do with this junk?" To this very day, MrToasterTarts has left his piano sitting in his house. Only to be taunted every time he sees it. Today, he has a wish. That the admins would allow him to sell the piano and gain back half of what he spent. That is his wish.

Do you think MrToasterTarts deserves to sell the piano?
If not, reply and say why.

First off I never heard of that before. I have been playing for a little over a year now,and there are still things about the game I discover that I wasn't aware of.

Secondly good luck in your quest for a refund.

Finally I would have never have purchased the piano in the first place. Its way to over priced imho, and while it is what I would call a rare interactive piece of furniture. There is still limited enjoyment you can get out of it. Not to mention there are a hand full of places on the map where you can go and play on a piano for free. Like Rufus's player house for example I have seen a piano setting around there with a stuffed toy on it collecting dust. With that being said I was also a foolish young noob once who wasted valueable gralats on the almost as useless flute. I guess at least the flute is an item that you can take with you and play anywhere just to annoy people and pass the time.

Woah, woah, woah. The piano is not a piece of garbage. It's not anyone's fault that you can't figure out how to use it correctly. If you paid 50k on an item you can't even use correctly, that's all on you. I bought the piano, and I love it. For me it was a great purchase, because I still use it, and I've learned some great songs on it. If you don't believe me, there's a thread floating around here where I posted a recording of myself playing Whistle, by Flo Rida on the Graal piano. However, I do agree that the piano should be a refundable furniture item like all other furniture out there. Because some people cannot figure out how to budget their resources, and wind up wasting their money on things they don't use.

The piano is a great decoration piece anyways

Would you hate me if I said I wanted to redo the piano interface? It's silly on an iPad(the type of device that would most benefit from it), and the lack in multiple touch input is disappointing since you can't do chords.

I'd like to see it redone to stretch and fill the bottom half of your screen as well as detect multiple touches, but I have no experience with the latter.

If it had multi-touch input I would maybe buy it.

Also, the option to select an octave would be really nice.

Well, if it's to improve and to expand upon it then I see no reason why not. Would the same mechanics of an iPad apply to other iDevices with retina display, or only iPad exclusively?

It would apply, but it sounds like you've gotten used to the current set-up and I know it's sometimes hard to adapt to change. It's just for my iPad, the keys are small and float in the middle of my screen... it's pretty useless. It seems to make more sense to have them on the bottom of the screen where you can lay it down and play it like an actual piano.

I have absolutely no clue how a piano works irl. If I can figure out how to play it here without any prior knowledge, I'm certain it wouldn't be difficult to do it again lol.

It would mostly just be a change of its position/scale to fill the bottom-half of your screen. I doubt I'd be adding more keys or anything.

Blueh, those were my thoughts at that time. I had figured out I did screw up. I bought something I shouldn't have. The piano is not a favorite furniture of mine. I just was to be rid of it forever. I wasn't trying to say it was garbage for everyone, but it was garbage for me.

MrSimons 12-05-2013 10:06 PM

I think MrToasterTarts should be more wise with his money.

Admiral 12-05-2013 10:52 PM

I think that MrSimons is right about MrToasterTarts.

Zorbakid 12-05-2013 11:14 PM

I would drop 50k on a piano just to hear blueh play

CelicGraal 12-05-2013 11:19 PM

This is one of my only problems with graal and have been fussing about this for quiet some time, I hope they do something so I can sell my piano
