PC Sparring
now why is it that people that used to suck horribly at spar suddenly get better when the hop on their mom's laptop
|
People use PCs more and are better using WASD than a touchscreen. And supposedly no lag?
|
Ya no lag.
|
because they came from the pc servers, they're experienced.
|
I have no idea
Is that really an issue? |
Rufus' point actually makes sense to me because i can't type well on a keyboard, and I also suck at pc... :0
|
I suck at pc sparring... And my ipod lags, so basically i can't spar.

Seems like you don't own a destroyed 2G ipod, 5 minute battery life, terrible FPS and haven't experienced the crappy controls.
|
I'm just more comfortable with PC since that's where I originated from.

The reason PC sparrers (generally) seem to be able to win quite easily is because players on iPods do not anticipate PC player movements. All you have to do is anticipate them, and then they're just as easy to defeat as when they're on their iPod.

The thing I hate most about PC sparring is their ability to stop by holding to keys on the keyboard which allows them to either look like they're lagging, but really not, manuever around players with ease, slide up or down in a straight line, and avoid an incoming sword. Also, they have a giant screen causing lag reduction and better speed in spar then the iDevices. I swear though that some PC sparrers have a longer recovery time from when I hit them before. I always have to wait a couple seconds or my sword goes right through them. Guild sparring also gives them an advantage screen wise, but so does the iPad. Anyways most people who know me know that I hate PC sparring and that I would be the happiest person in the world to see it gone, but I know that's never going to happen.

They aren't moving faster, nor do they have any special maneuvers iPod players can't use, nor do they have longer recovery. It's just your lag/latency. To any viewer on pc both of you would be going the same speed and both would have same recovery.

and they do move faster, maybe not a lot, but still any program u run on ipod is gonna run better on pc |
