Terraria on iOS
That's right! Terraria has been released on iOS! Maybe on Android? Someone confirm that.
It currently costs 4.99$ and it's just awesome. The PC game has literally been ported to your mobile device, with only a few small bugs! Amazing! There's even new features! Some of them are: -New enemies! (Orca!) -Pets! (Cabbage!) -5 inventory slots, or 10! I believe they added all the XBox features to it, too! There IS, however, a few issues. -World is too small -No multiplayer -Controls are a bit rough when you try aiming. Don't use a joystick to aim. The controls are, however, very good. Very responsive, and handy. Get Terraria, for 5 bucks, here! http://toucharcade.com/link/http://p...640364616&mt=8 Just got it, played it. It's addictive. Any thoughts? |
Considering how often it can be found on steam for like $2, it's not very compelling to get. Especially since it's the kind of game that once you did everything you can, it becomes immediately boring... and I've done everything on the PC. I do wonder how well the controls translate, as it's not exactly a forgiving game.
If it pops up on free weekly app though I will definitely pick it up. Not worth the $5 though, for me personally. Especially when you know it's not going to be getting any worthwhile updates, and Starbound is closing in. |
I just bought it, expecting it to have terrible controls, and not even be up to date. But so far the controls are very smooth. Much better than minecraft ios controls.
Yes i just compared minecraft and terreria. Wunna fite aboot it? |
Oh ****, Terraria is going mobile? I tried running it before with Branches, but that failed miserably. I wonder how mobile will be once/if it goes to android.

I was JUST playing Terraria on the computer.
Goodbye life. |

The only thing I dont like that much is the menu interface. I find it annoying moving around items, but I'm sure I'll get used to it.
Very fun so far. |

To be honest, I feel like the Dungeon and Skeletron was too easy.
I used a Deadly Musket, Iron Armour, a Mystic Water Bolt (Entered dungeon before killing him, found it), and a really small arena. Full health, too. Way too easy. My game even crashed and I had to do all that all over again. It's just too damn easy. Entered dungeon, and I had to hold water candles just for things to try killing me. I hope they fix the difficulty... I hope. I hope they add bigger worlds, too. It's just stupid how developers like Mojang and Re-Digit/505 Studios treat the iOS platform like some delicate vase. Actually, Re-Digit does take advantage of the hardware! The game crashes on my iPad, but not iPad 2. That's pretty neat! What's even more funny, is that I'm pretty sure Minecraft PE has been out far longer than Terraria even began being developed for iOS, and it turned out better. I know it takes a very long time to develop games, but Minecraft PE just recently got double chests. What the hell. I recall the developers saying that the Nether wouldn't be added. But tell me... WHY. Look at the other iOS games! They have so many damn polygons, such a HUGE DETAILED WORLD, but you can't add the Nether? That's just embarrassing. End of rant. Got a bit too out of hand, with me talking about Minecraft PE. Sorry. TL;DR -Terraria needs to be more difficult -Needs bigger worlds -Minecraft PE is being developed too damn slow, with unnecessary updates. Add the basics, for crying out loud. -Minecraft PE isn't taking advantage of the iOS hardware |
Just got the game. Creative controls. A little difficult to mine things towards the top of your screen. Overall, the game is pretty fun.
