lolcat spar rating rant

I remember when sparring used to be fun. Back then, if I lost a couple matches it didn't matter. Now losing two matches in a row puts me into a fit of nerd rage when I fall right off the top fifty... and then some. It makes me paranoid to spar for fear of tarnishing my record. I never used to have to worry about a dumb "rating" and would spar carefree all day taking wins and losses alike in stride. The worst is when you "win" a match but still lose points like you lost the match. So in conclusion, the rating system ruined spar for me, I play a fraction of what I used to back in the day. Furthermore, I don't even see the point in having a spar rating system for a game this laggy/glitchy. What does it say about my skill if I lose to somebody with 6583 ms, using "after image technique" like Goku in dragonball?! I rest my case >:c

Spar, who cares if you get bumped of the list. Duh.

people actually care about spar rating?
it's always been about record..

or you can just choose not to care about it at all and have fun, honestly.

I don't get why people care about that horrible point system. The math is messed up, people boost, people use second accounts to get only 11 wins and stay there, and it's completely pointless. If anything they should have a W-L ratio for a scoreboard instead of that horrible system since that actually takes some skill to get. I don't even care for sparring anymore ever since the lagger population increased and PC sparring was introduced.

Who cares about the spar scores. The system is a load of ****. If you've got lots of wins it doesnt really matter.

Its an ELO system, harder to gain as you get points, lose more to people below you.

What? Never knew people could never realize that it isn't their fault, as the servers are located halfway across the world. And since when did people actually measure these kinds of things l0l.

It doesn't matter if they are halfway across the world lag still happens and people still lose. Also, I wasn't just applying this to the people with a far away connection. I'm also applying this to the people who don't get near their router and play in a horrible Wi-Fi area. Lag used to be a very small problem and now it's a very big one. I think the 1,000 ms thing should apply at spar too since a lot of people exceed that limit. Once they hit over 1,000 they should be warped out.
