No Natural Regen Poll

Hello there! Many people have asked in the New World (PVP, Raid, Grief) to turn Natural Regeneration off. This gives the player a bigger challenge by only allowing healing by making golden apples, a regeneration potion, or a beacon. Having 100% food will no longer heal you. What do you guys think?

As far as I know, this is only hardcore. Turning off on core is stupid because then food just because some annoying feature with no purpose other than getting you killed. Don't forget they also made potions and gold apples harder to create. It will also make the beginning very hard, where potions/golden apples/beacons are inaccessible.

Vote yes if you are a manly man! (or woman)

@dusty its just in the pvp world to make it harder and more challenging. Adds to the fun.

It takes 5 minutes to go get a wood pick, find a cave, and mine 9 gold.

Im pretty sure the gold blocks are the ones that regen. In that case, 72 gold

No, that is incorrect, beacons can use diamond, iron, emerald and gold blocks for it to work.

But if these are the rules for PvP... maybe *shrug* the idea of a PvP server doesn't sound too balanced to me anyways. Players already established will have a clear advantage against new players.

Thought you meant golden apples. Well in that case it takes forever to get the skulls for a wither, then you have to kill it which is a pain in the ass. Once you get a beacon you dont need auto regen, but that takes a while for anyone on the server

This is also incorrect, the nether and the end is disabled in the PVP world, there is a villager in the spawn of the PVP world selling Wither heads, you can trap the wither because mobGriefing is off, therefore, easy to kill.

Getting "health points" is already hard enough as is. Part of the fun for the majority of the playerbase seems to be building massive complexes (especially with farms) and this would pretty much take that away.

Dusty's also right. This kind of change would render new players completely hopeless. As more and more players are joining the server (and existing players are starting on the PVP map), this isn't a very good time to nerf their abilities.

The way I see it, this would just hurt already active players by making their current creations useless and likewise hurt new players for the reasons stated above.

Well... it would work absolutely fine in a predefined environment. IE, Hunger Games server. However, if it's intended for a Survival PvP then there's going to be some balancing issues.
