Exclusive Spar Room
 

I know in old Supernicks on classic there was a spar room that was exclusive to people who only had a rating of like 1800 or 1900 or something like that. You couldn't enter the room otherwise.

Would be cool to have a room like this added on iClassic. But since rating is kind of pointless it would have to be something like only people with a spar score of 7000 or above can enter or only people ranked a certain number and below etc.

This gives a benchmark to the people who are trying to get better something to work for and also provides consistently decent competition to the ones who already do well, since anyone in the room should be above average.

I don't get why ppl want to be no lifers that just sit around doing one particular thing all day on classic. I spend most of my online time towering but I also like to set a side a few hours for different things like blob,pyrate bay,farming,advertising my code shop or doing some private event with friends. or working on my house/gh.

Those same no lifers that do nothing but spar all day (Thallen) you want to make a special spar room for all get on the same gst team (US) and dominate every Gst. Which IMO make it kind of unfair pointless for the other 97% of guilds in the gst that I am probably right in assuming only spar when the gst comes around. This is the main reason why there should be some type of division in the gst for the "pro" no life sparrers and the casual sparrers that make up most of the field.

So why not split the gst into two tournaments with 2 different classes. Just look at the spar wins of all the members from the submitted gst team and compare those stats to the average spar win record. Any gst team whose average falls in a certain range gets put into the class for that range. Any body within 25 wins of the average would get rounded up and counted as average range. So if the majority of players in your gst are at or over average you gst would get put in the "pro" class.

I am not trying to attack your idea or you personally. I just think it is not needed and the admins should concentrate on adding to other areas of the game.

Why do you keep think US is unstopable?

How many gst's have they won? what don't you get? Its a team of ppl that do nothing but spar all day so they are better at sparring then anybody else. I don't think your average gst team can even compete against a team that has players who spar every day for years.

your anger is misguided, because being good at sparring does not require you to have "no life"
it's a 5-button game, it's really not that difficult
most sparrers became good at it the very same year or month that they started sparring because they get it

got a total of 17,000 wins though, if you want to claim anyone has "no life" then point fingers at the iDevice community, where several players have well above 50,000 total spars

Most of US are 20+, have a real life and don't give a **** about Graal.

US members hardly log on maybe only 3/4 active ones left on iClassic unless its close to GST time and they're thinking about entering so I don't see how you can possibly call them at on being no life sparrers. US is very much a beatable team why don't you stop complaining about how much better people are than you then actually get good yourself? 2/3 GSTs US last entered they were beaten and beaten by mostly players that originated on iClassic itself so there should be no excuse for anyone as to why they can't compare.

IDK why this guy even mentioned US, has literally nothing to do with the original thread idea

it would be a good idea if the community would make proper use of it, but honestly I feel like there are very few sparrers who have a real interest in only sparring the best players
