Battle of The Year
Alright guys, I know that some of you probably wouldn't care for this, but I thought I might as well post this up for the ones that don't know. Tomorrow is Battle of the Year, known as BOTY, which is an annual international bboying event. It is a crew (as opposed to individual) competition. Regional qualifying tournaments, also known as preliminaries, are held worldwide culminating in the BOTY International, the world finals. I thought I'd share this news to you guys hoping that people would get more knowledgeable about what bboying really is. It's not just a bunch of guys spinning around doing acrobatic moves, it is actually a dance created by the people. With many crews performing showcases only the 4 best would go on to the main portion of the event. The battles which contain 2 semi final matches. If it's just like last year's you would only get to see the battles, not showcases sadly. A thing that sucks abut a event like this is the commentators, they can get really annoying. As a bboy myself I really look forward to this yearly event and I hope that you guys take into consideration on viewing this amazing culture.
