Studies show that with young people ages 12-16 (which would also be my best guess at Graal's most popular age group) that 10% of males and 20% of females have had thoughts of suicide.

Studies also show that more males die by suicide yet females have a higher rate of attempts.

Suicide is illegal in the U.S.
Do you think people have a right to kill themselves or that its okay to kill yourself if you want to?

Sooo wait. You would go to jail if you killed yourself? How does that work?????

Who's gonna stop you? It may be illegal, but people still do it.

What if you accidently killed yourself? Would you be innocent? Or would you still get arrested?

I used to have suicidal thoughts at that age.

I used to have strong suicidal thoughts in grade 6. I think I may have been 11 going into 12 around that time. Sometimes every now and then they come back, but they're easy to push aside. Laughably easy to say the least since I believe it is a selfish service to those around you.

On topic, how the Hell is it illegal to kill yourself? What if that riles up all of the cop haters and convinces them all to kill themselves just for the sake of "**** the popo" (even though that may unintentionally make a better public). Are they going to arrest the corpse of the guy and give him a trial and possibly another execution? That sounds kind of ridiculous when you think about it. I don't think it should be considered 'illegal' however I think it should be strongly strongly discouraged in whatever ways possible using any means of prevention.

My name derives of my previous suicidal thoughts, actually.. It's kind of a reminder of what I've over came in the past; it's more of an inside joke within myself now though.

No I do not think people have the right to kill themselves at all even if they want to, because they have an obligation to their loved ones. Killing yourself would basically ruin all your loved one's lives permanently. Its about being responsible and rationally thinking about the situation. If you want to kill yourself, you probably aren't rationally thinking about the situation and you probably need help.. Of course there are a few exceptions, as with anything.

I never got why people would kill themselves.

So if you die, you obviously don't give a ****. Like, about anyone. 'cause if there is anyone who loves you, you don't give a **** about them, or hurting them, and if there's not, there's no one to give a **** about.

So instead of killing yourself why don't you just get the **** out? Leave the basement, leave your house, leave the mother ****ing country. Go on an adventure. Spend your time doing something awesome, like tracking down some terrorists. Go be James Bond. Go **** up a shark with a harpoon. Danger? **** that, you were going up against 100% death rate before, you're being safe now. **** everything, the world is your oyster.

Sometimes I wish I was suicidal. I'd pull the barrel out of my mouth and point it in the air, start a revolution, LIVE. Move to Barcelona or Rome or Berlin, hit the bars, band some chicks. STD's who ****ing gives a ****?

And then when I'm done, maybe I wouldn't want to kill myself, 'cause I've seen how beautiful the world really is...

It's no ones obligation to make someone else happy, if i wanna take my life i dont give a **** about how anyone feels about. Sucks for them if they're broken hearted over it, cry a little and get on with your life.

Funny thing is, when people are suicidal, they're depressed. You make suicidal people seem stupid and an embarrassment to the human race. It's not that simple to 'Harpoon a Shark', or 'Became James Bond', you're living in a fantasy land if you think a normal person would do anything of this sort.
