The Zimmerman Verdict

I'm surprised no one created a thread about this yet. As you may or may not no, George Zimmerman, the man responsible for the death of 17 year-old Treyvon Martin, without facing any charges. With the amount of substantial evidence directed against Zimmerman's acquittal, Zimmerman was found not guilty of his death without any charges for homicide or manslaughter. Personally, I disagree with the verdict. I'd like to know your personal opinions on this.

Le discuss.

Meanwhile a 15 year old boy gets shot in the ghetto and no one gives a damn.

Its all media based. Giving a picture of George Zimmerman to make him look bad and then one on the victim who is about 9 or 10 idk to make the child look innocent. When you look at his current pics, he has ones of him smoking and stuff so I think this case should just get over with since the man felt threatened and by state law he had the authority to shoot. I would vote not guilty to after seeing pictures of how the kid looked at 17 and what he was doing(Drugs.).

Regardless of the verdict, he's gonna get shot. So I couldn't care less.

Dino 07-16-2013 04:29 AM

Something's going to happen to him

Breezy 07-16-2013 04:33 AM

I think he shot him in self defense that's about it really

Rexx 07-16-2013 04:37 AM

The media hyped it up to make $$$
**** the system.

I completely agree with the verdict.

The law states that if there is reasonable doubt then he shouldn't be convicted. The jury concluded that there was reasonable doubt and that he probably was innocent, so they did their job in following the law.

If you disagree with Zimmerman's acquittal, then don't direct your disapproval at the jury or the verdict itself. Instead focus on the law and getting it changed at the root, otherwise the outcome you didn't like it only going to continue to occur.

I think this post sums up my opinion on the actual verdict.

The media ate it up from a racial perspective, but it's highly debatable whether or not racial motives drove the actual confrontation.

Okay this is ignorant, ending a young boys life, and you would vote not guilty. That's cold. Over pictures of him smoking.. If he was caught smoking,or had pictures of him smoking, then don't you think he shouldn't have such a harsh punishment? Maybe a little time behind bars. But death? You're crazy man..

I think its racist to automatically assume its about race simply because the guy was black.

I agree with mattkan's post.

This isn't about Martin smoking or doing drugs, this is about him jumping a man and attacking him.

Because they grew some sense. I agree It's debatable..But be honest,if Trayvon was white,Zimmerman probably wouldn't have seen him as a 'threat' if you look at it like that.
