Hunted - iEra's Upcoming Survival Event!
Staff hosted Event, which combines your favorite things, survival, and killing to survive!
The game will be divided into 3 classes, Archer, Warrior and Nurse (I prefer calling it nurse, you know, it's funny...). They will of-course have their ups and downs :
All of three classes above will obtain a basic Hunting melee, a Hunting Bow, 16 arrows and 4 types of food... What are arrows? We know you like some spices with your challenges, so the bow will not be using unlimited ammo, it will use arrows found on the map, or in chests. What makes this game real This event, being a permadeath game (no revive), will let you obtain the items of the opponent killed... Once released in the wild, you will be able to kill your enemies (or teammates), killing them makes them all their stuff earned in the game (arrows, food, bow and melee). So okay, maybe it gets a bit boring hiding in the same spot, but, there will be a control panel for staff to spawn baddies over the map! (zombies too!) Unlike other events, you will be able to use your inventory in here, as of you will only see the Hunted related weapons (don't worry, your guns aren't gone, it's just temporary!). What does this include? Some of your favorite stuff actually,
Putting this here to view your thoughts, and check what can be added too! If all goes as planned, estimate time of release would be in a couple of weeks. Simple question, Team Event or Solo? Thanks! tl:dr? Hunted is a combination of DayZ and the Hunger Games. Edit: This is not medieval really, let's say zombies invaded the city, and you guys ran away from them, trying to live in the forest' conditions before they come and get you. So you create your bow out of tree, find some stuff and create arrows, good thing you had some food with you, and the event starts from here. Quote:

This poisen affect thing could be really cool and overall like the idea but make sure you check for bugs about the inventory being cleared as i see that being a problem in the future.

Cool idea; my only thing is why use melees and a medieval theme? I think it'd be cooler if it the classes were focused on more of a mafia style.

At first glance the title looked like "Haunted" and I thought it was going to be a ghost-themed event. But with that aside, I like this idea. Now if only it were to be era-ified... Guns instead of arrows, Era-themed melees (broken bottle, night stick, etc.), and medic packs instead of food.

Really love this idea :). The only flaw i see is that it isn't really Era themed, but neither is "Candyland" so Idc.

This sounds truly badass, is it just a concept now or has it started scripting development?
I really love how it uses it's own weapons and stuff, so it isn't pay2win like the rest of Era. IMO there should be rewards based on how many people are left when you die, for example if 300 players are playing and you are the 100th remaining, you might get a couple hundred gralats, if you're 10th remaining you might get an ec or something, and last remaining gets several ec. It sounds like it could be considered an "epic event" due to how potentially large scale it can be and in depth. better yet, make a score system with rewards according to how well you did: You get more points based on what # remaining you are You get points for killing other players(to discourage stagnant passive play where people just hide forever till like 10 are left) maybe points for side objectives as well. Also, make it a huge map so that it supports hundreds of players, I hate how hard it is to get into an event. Additionally, I prefer a score based reward system so that people who do well but do not win still get rewarded in some way, but those who win or do extremely well get the best rewards. I personally don't mind the theme, but please keep it equalized where everyone has the same weapons(well besides picking a class) also, make it ffa. IMO it works much better this way then a team based event. |
It sounds like a mine craft hunger games server. I think it should be made a team event seeing that it takes place on a large scale. Maybe a co-op team?

Even if they make it so that you get rewards if you're dead and your team wins, it would feel akward dieing early on and just waiting around for a good 15 minutes or more wondering if your team is going to win. As a free for all I feel like it would be a nice challenge to build up on your own somewhere, and try to last the longest. It would have to be a huge map so that it isn't a giant LMS. It should also reward you based on how long you last and how much you kill, to ensure that your get rewarded for doing well even if you're not the final winner. |
