Event Improvements/Ideas
 

With the release of the event coin system I have decided to make a little thread here with some ideas to help make events more fun and efficient.

- 2nd Event House This is some-what of a simple idea that could help reduce lag drastically and allow 2 Event Team staff members to be hosting at the same time. The 2nd event house could have a bunch of the events that are pretty much done like 16 man spar, prison break, ect and it could also have a few others from era pc like red light green light, hidden paths, ect. Really all you would have to do is copy the level from the first event house and add it to another part of the map (maybe near mercy west?) This would spread people out so theyre all not at one event house and multiple events could be hosted at the same time.

-Seperate building for the Events Shop This sort of goes along with my first idea; If there is a second event house then you could move the event shop to its own building somewhere near the start park (so its in between both Event Houses). Also this would reduce the lag in the first event house because you won't have a ton of people running through the event house to get to the shop.

-Event bot event every 30 minutes Rather then having the event bot host an event for an ec every 2 hours you should make it more constant like once every 30 minutes. Also maybe make it so that the event bot message is in a different color or something so that people will know that its for an ec.

-Hire a few additional staff members just as ETs Even though the current staff is doing a pretty good job at handling events I believe it would be good to hire a hand full of people to the Events Team. This way the event team just can focus on solely hosting events. Other staff could still host events but this way they can have some time to work on other things relating to their jobs (like helping players, creating graphics, developing,ect.) Also this way the other staff members won't be constantly bugged by players to host events and could just tell any ET member on to host, giving the other staff some peace while they help improve era :d.

-Make it so that ETs can refill their event coins by grabbing the counter at the event shop You could make it so that when a staff member on the Events Team tag grabs the counter at the event shop, they recieve like 20-30 Event Coins. This will make hosting event more efficient because then ETs won't have to ask snk or a PRA for some coins when ever they run out.

Wow great ideas, mostly aboutthe lag, because i cant win a single ec because of it:( i really want a hunters knife so please.
Also another idea i had was(u guys might think it is stupid but) releasing ec coin packs like gralat packs

Hmm the ec pack idea has been brought up several times and it is interesting. The only problem with it is, it takes away the whole idea of winning the weapon. If they made it so you can buy ecs it would be bascially like selling the items for gralats and there would be no need to even have the events or the event coins.

I've never won an event due to lag in the event house.
1.) People spamming Val bombs,emotes,ganis,etc.
2.) Overcrouded..
3.) Server lag.
On PC Era There is no lag whatsoever, so you all have an even chance to win an event. Yet in Era You could be amazing at events, but not be able to even enter the event house without lagging, or the app crashing.

I like these ideas but i find having a second events house and another different building for the ec shop is a bit too much, we don't need it.

I disagree with another event house, rest is good though. Disable those damn pumpkin bombs please!

I don't like the idea of a 2nd Events house either... there isn't a solution for the lag though :(
More ET staff? I don't think that's going to happen either. :( Maybe more PR staff? I don't know...

Can you make it so you can't use nitro, valentine boms, and stuff like that in the Events House?

Hmm this may be a long shot but maybe you can make it so that when ever an et opens a door for an event, there is a broadcast message that say rush(or what ever event it may be) is being hosted for however many poeple. Then there is an option to join the event on the message by pressing join or something. The only problem with that is you would have to be fast as hell to read the message and press join before the tons of people at the event house get in :/. Also maybe more PRs would help; perhaps you could hire more prs or tell the current ones to host a lot more often because at the current rate there isn't enough events to support the ec prices.

Also could you make it so people cant use pumpkin bombs, valentine grenades, ect in the event house and maybe make it so they cant use emotes too.

Or, maybe the problem is the number of people being taken into the events themselves. I say cut it down a bunch. Less people=less lag? Or like my idea before... There should be multiple rooms for events. Say the race for example. It could be one event, three rooms and three winners?

Less players would make more players complain.

Especially like this idea.

I asked Auron about this and if he was considering hiring some new people to be specifically for the Events Team and he said "Probably not. We want to keep the items a rarity still and the increase of options to get EC will just make them less rare" It is a valid point, but still, I don't see anyone winning all the items in the shop within 5 months even with more staff. IDK, it may be like snk said, more PR's.

I have thought up an idea to reduce the lag..
So you can enable event pm's.. "The normal events"
There should be an option like this for the events that give you ec's,
because in the event room, for some reason people create lag.. Val bombs,nitros,emoticons,spammy player chat,etc.
If you could just get a regular PM saying..
Then There would be an option to join the event..
I think this would overall reduce the lag for events.
Just warping to a level is not going to lag or crash the app..

and alas will reduce the need for an event building lol
