New Xbox
In roughly 6 hours after this post Microsoft will most likely unveil the next Xbox. (Xbox 720 or Infinity).
Edit; Xbox One Discussion |
I've been looking forward to this, I just hope it's not a flop or overhyped.
|
Can't wait.
|
I'm pretty excited :]
|
yes, now pc games can finally look better
|
I'm still rocking my Game Cube. So screw y'all and yo' X-Boxes.
|
Wow.
|
Conference blew. Only thing that grabbed my attention was the Halo TV Series.
|
Hmm, definitely lived to my expectations, wasn't expecting anything out of the ordinary but I'm happy and i'm sure a lot of cod gamers are too, with the ability to now record and edit gameplay footage which you can upload straight to the web. Plus there have been 8 new franchises that have been announced, so will be looking forward to those franchises and the new console.

Probably the worst console reveal I have ever seen. Worst than the Wii U. Nothing in the video interested me at all except Quantum Break. Oh a new Call of Duty! Oh another Forza! Oh more bland annual installments of EA sports games! Not to mention that the console blocks used games. The console is bland and looks like a cable box, the controller is basically the same, and 70% of the conference was about television and movies. Its almost as if Microsoft wants to make an Apple TV instead of a gaming console now.
I'm not even sure this thread is in the right section. |
Being an Xbox and Xbox 360 fan I couldn't find one thing I liked about the reveal.
-Focused on TV and crap while not revealing anything enticing video game-wise -Focused on gesture and voice control gimmicks -Looks like a black Wii U -Why did they name it the Xbox One when it's their third console? -controller looks like a third party madcatz or something -Hate the Windows 8 gui I think Microsoft is just being GREEDY by trying to appeal to a broader audience with all this other crap. They put gaming in the backseat. I'm not mad at them for doing that but I won't be buying a console that doesn't prioritize gaming. I've been loyal to Microsoft but I don't see myself owning an Xbox One any time in the foreseeable future. |

The 15 years down the road problem can be fixed easily what I am more concerned about is the activation.
1) You need to be online to activate a game since installations are mandatory to play game 2) So this means anyone without internet won't be able to play games? There is also a fee to play the game on a second account? Does this mean no split screen without paying? Still many questions to be answered but it sounds like a huge hassle and a way to squeeze customers for more money. Sony's stock has also risen a couple points while Microsoft's has declined. |
Microsoft took this last gen, now they're over killing it. Time for Sony to step back into the role of the dominant console, or possibly even a new platform.
|
They're making this console for more casual gaming, I see exactly what they're doing. They just want the console to appear to a broader fan base. But does anyone have a link to the full reveal video? I watched it but my brother didn't and he wants to see it.
never mind I got it |
