GMC: May Update
 

To celebrate a month of stability on our server, we've decided to release the first monthly update. These updates will be geared towards Graal-ifying the server and overall providing more content to the growing playerbase. Any suggestions for future updates may be posted in this thread. Have fun :).

Gameplay Changes:

• We've added new gralat blocks.
  • You can invest in gralats at the Graal City Bank ran by Seth_Reed.
  • Gralats are the official and recommended currency of Graalians Minecraft.
  • Gralat blocks come in green, blue, red, and yellow.
  • These blocks are worth 1, 5, 30, and 100 gralats respectively.
  • Gralats are identical in appearance to wool blocks, but they have unique names and descriptions to ensure their authenticity.
  • Gralats can be stacked and placed in chests just like regular blocks.
  • To prevent accidents, gralats cannot be placed as blocks.
• The post office has been opened.
  • You can visit the post office north of the Burger Refuge in Graal City.
  • Mailboxes are available for a 5 gralat deposit.
  • These boxes come with a name plate as well as 30 slots of storage.
  • Mailboxes are magnetically enhanced to suck in any items thrown at them.
  • This allows for easy use while providing 100% security.
  • The 5 gralat deposit may be returned in full if you are unhappy with your mailbox at any time.
• The Graal City Bank has been re-opened!
  • The bank is run by Seth_Reed and some other player staff.
  • Contact them for potential hirings!
  • You can now invest in the new gralat currency at the bank.
  • Every iron ingot invested will net you five gralats.
  • Each player may invest in up to 1,500 gralats in the next 14 days.
  • A grand total of 150,000 gralats have been printed and are available for distribution.
• The Graal City Real-Estate market has been launched!
  • Properties in Graal City will be available for purchase or auctioned off in the near future.
  • The owner of each property is allowed to open a shop of his or her choosing.
  • Owners will receive building rights on and under their property; the only requirements are that they must retain the general theme of the building on Classic.
  • Each property will come with a full-sized door that actually allows people to enter the building.
• The Hall of Fame has been opened.
  • You can reach the Hall of Fame via the new warp hub.
  • The Hall of Fame contains statues of veterans and builders along with their accomplishments on the server.
  • If you are a builder, please contact an administrator to be added. Future players will be added automatically upon becoming builders.

Systematic Changes:

• You can now use the unstick me command to return to Graal City.
• We have created a warp hub to connect various towns.
  • If you'd like a major town to be added, please contact an administrator.
• We've installed HeadDrops which causes mobs to sometimes drop their previously unobtainable heads when they die.

External Features:

• The server map is back! (Click here to check it out!)
  • You can now have your house or town added to the map as a landmark. Please contact an administrator if you are interested.
  • The Nether and The End are now available on this map! (Keep in mind that this is the only place you can see the Nether as in-game maps do not yet support it.)
  • Additionally, the old map is temporarily available for your perusal. (See the side bar and click "worldBACKUP" if interested.)
  • We've also decided to extend the deadline for map transfers to ensure that any creations made by old players are not forgotten.

I like the graalts idea and you have progressed the server alot as soon as i get my computer ill be on the server

soooo i cant get my village back?

I came on today and saw all these changes. My head and Santa's head stare at eachother forever now c: Also the Gralat system is cool. I'm guessing you can't just get wool and dye to make your own gralats?

Correct. I'm sure at some point somebody will try to make a counterfeit by giving it the name "Gralat", but they won't be able to add the "Official GraalOnline Currency" watermark and they won't be able to stack with other Gralats.

Whats the warp to the Hall of Fame?

It's in the little shack outside of the bank. You can also reach Flo's skyscraper there.
