Sorry folks, I hope you didn't get excited by the thread title. I'm just curious to know if this is going to be released anytime soon, and the only reason I'm making a thread instead of just asking someone is because I feel others are also waiting for it.

To me, Classic for Facebook has been a total flop. The only value that the iPhone playerbase has found in it is laming stats on an empty server. Because that is what it is, a constantly empty server. People from PC Graal are now able to play with the iPhone community, which is great for the PC community I guess, but it isn't for the existing iPhone community. I don't care what anyone says, it isn't fair on the iPhone players in terms of gameplay, and there has been a huge change in attitudes of these iPhone players since the two communities merged together.

So yeah, is it coming out? I wouldn't play, but I could find huge value in the server being Facebook for features that I could do on this site. If you are planning on releasing a Facebook version, it really is going to be in your best interest to hammer out the issues that Classic has had with it from the start.

I heard that they where planning to do it. But I gues it will take a while....

Yeah it's finished, the other weekend I converted all movement stuff to fit on a keyboard.

Problems: particle effects don't work (smoke is gay...).
It doesn't really lag to be honest.

What do you think we should do to make it more fun @ Rufus

Im not rufus but maybe also something like iDevice vs. FB (like the iEra vs. iClassic fight event), FB exclusive quests and so on. Stuff which wouldn´t work on an iDevice (too laggy) or exclusive for FB.

Find the facebook logo. Go looking and win some prizes. Lol joke.

Double hp/faster movement on fb lik pc? Could make spars better, more emphasis on dodging/less on spamming your shipka... Also maybe Player Owned Businesses on pc, test em out on it for a while...

I don't understand why the walkspeed is so slow on iEra ^.^
You are exactly right to say there is much less emphasis on dodging.
Then again the guns on iEra are faster comparable to PC so I think an increase in speed would be a bit chaotic.
Also the slow walkspeed isn't as noticeable on iPhone or iPod screens, where I believe lies the reasoning in the slower walkspeed. Any faster and it may appear too fast for reaction time to some on such small screens >_>...

Maybe I am misunderstanding, but doesn't Graal on Facebook allow for players on pc to play with players on their iDevices? If so, it goes without saying the disadvantage iPhone players would be at if an increase in walkspeed were provided to facebook users if they are playing on the same server as iPhone users. Again I probably just have the idea of Facebook Graal all wrong :P
If I have misunderstood it, then increased speed is probable. The only issue is the fast guns in addition to faster walkspeed compromising the fairness of the game.

Slightly off-topic but in response to Andrew:
Would it be easy to add support to keyboard for iDevices? That is, being able to move and shoot using the wireless/wired keyboard paired to an iDevice?
I am assuming that requires an overhaul, or at least a major change, to the app itself but I figure it is worth asking considering you have converted the movement :P.

uh as much as i like the idea of having no lag/crashing while playing...Fafnir and Rufus are right, the people who play on idevices would be disadvantaged and it kinda makes iEra become PC Era

Well, the larger screen of an iPad or iPad 2 is about the size of a small laptop, could be possible for iPads and computers only server for Facebook...

Uhm... No? Either PC & iDevices or just PC. The screen size has nothing to do with the server.

I'm talking about a server more like pc, with faster walk speed and double health. The small screens of an itouch or iPhone would make reaction time more unfair, as fafnir pointed out

I think Stefan's against it till Era is on Facebook. He would just map the controls similar to a PC version- I can't imagine it being a big thing for him to do

Needing something big guys - not just enhances to current Era =p
