I wish I could wear 2 shields at the same time.
Hey, I don't know if this is a nutty idea, but I had always wished I could wear 2 different shields at the same time. I know it would be stupid to put on 2 different wings at the same time but if you chose the right 2 it could lead to some great combination looks?
How I was thinking it could work is you apply the first shield like normal by saying "setshield xxxxxx.gif" and to apply the second shield you could type something like"setshield2 xxxxxx.gif"? Now I don't know what problems this could cause I just wish I could do it? Would it be too much lag? Would the shields go all crazy when holding a weapon?:P |
The ganis would be fine, well every gani except the ones that include the shield- because the second one just wouldn't show.
|
Would be cool if this was Implemented.

Very simple idea, possible, tho would annoy users stuck at both shields?
|
That would be great for girls xD mix and match
|
Simple interface idea: Add a "Sheilds" button to allow you to choose top and bottom (mainly for removing shields). The command "Setshieldtop" would set the shield at the higher layer, and "Setshieldbottom" would set the shield at the bottom layer
EDIT: To clarify, the shields button goes in the customization menu (Where you change your head, body, hat, etc.) |
Pretty sure setshield is integrated into the game coding itself xD
Seems silly, why not just gfx the two shields as one? |
^ correct @ snake rekon
Having this would require editing a lot of animations (I assume-which use shields) I think it would also lag more for Era (adding another attr which is set for the shield...) This is why i'd go with Snake Rekon with "Seems silly, why not just gfx the two shields as one?" Cool idea none the less |
Ahhh! Snk just told me it can't be done because it would require all the animations would have to be redone. Boo! Oh well!

Also you would need to have made both shields to have the source files to combine both into one shield. |
It wouldn't require all the animations to be redone, at least not by hand. You could write a script or tool that updates the file to have a second shield image directly above the other on a second layer.
If you don't want to modify then at all, you could display the image by looping through each player's animation frame, finding the shield sprite, and displaying the second shield image above it. Alternatively, you could loop through each gani, replacing the SHIELD token with a gani. That gani could reference two ATTRs which would allow you to display two shield images. There's also dozens of other ways. |

Then write a script that combines the two images using a drawing panel. Poof, no more client side lag. Like I said, dozens of ways to do it.
