Terrible Updates that have been released on iClassic
 

The first major update that come to mind that has ruined Classic is the idling warp. You can't even sit outside for 10 minutes without being warped to an unwanted area. Another terrible update is the Alignment Point system. The AP system has no necessary use to the Classic society. All I see is disadvantages if you spar, PK, or tower. But if you sit and do nothing your only advantage is the ability to not be hurt by a sword. Yet another useless update is the Guild Picture approval. I see the improvement it made, but it's ruined the idea of Guild Pictures. That's all I can think of at this moment, but the main two were the Idling Warp, and AP system.

Devs ran out of ideas so they just copy and pasted **** from old servers to make it seem like they made something big, in youtube these are called fillers.

AP doesn't even have a purpose..i thought it was going be for a trade quest but it seems like they abandoned that project. They hired like 35+ admins just for events..most of which are snobby. I PM a GP and he tells me that he isnt on duty, I asked him who I should refer to instead and he just tells me to "deal with it"..****ing prick

When they released Mod town I thought there would be a new activity, since they promised more events like archery were to be added, instead North graal had their building refurnished with more beds and a ****ing random fountain that takes money.. tf.

Btw those lumberjacks had me going.. I was expecting a quest that would let me cut down trees. Was it even necessary to add them in? cause all that did was get peoples hopes up

iChronic, that is Graal Staff for you. You should get used to it cause it sure hasn't changed the 11 years I played this game.

ap system is the worst update, all it does is make the game more annoying for pkers because now they can't heal, plus guilds abuse it to be able to rally on the top floor of a fort before all burning off their ap bonus and quickly capping it on suprise.

How does it ruin the idea of them? The idea is to upload a logo or image to represent your guild. The upload system is there so your guild pictures are actually guild pictures. You won't have a problem with it unless you're trying to boost your self-esteem in an attempt that mostly gets abuse from people going "u ugly wh0re", or you're trying to share porn, which is inappropriate for the majority of the age bracket. Are you trying to do either one of those things?

What I mean by the Guild Picture is if your picture is rejected for some unknown reason. Maybe it's just to show the guild (like tower guilds) something cool or whatever. You have to wait 6 hours just to upload another. And before the approval idea, you could just upload a picture automatically, so if it configures wrong, or you just change it a lot. You can't really do that anymore. I know it's not that big of a deal, but those little updates too are making the game worse by the minute.

I actually like/don't mind all of the updates you mentioned but oh well - to each his own I guess.

I like AP :(. The way I see it, it lets people who don't want to PK not have to PK. In a way, it is rewarding people for not PKing, but the only way to not get the award of "invincibility" is to insist that you don't want it by killing others. I hate the mentality that if something doesn't benefit *you* outright, then it's a bad update that isn't go for the server. Plus the different nick name colors make the server look nicer—much nicer than the nick names did before.

The staff has already added some ways to tie AP into the game (e.g. getting more AP while at church) and it's likely they will continue to do so as they release more major updates.

Don't you realize that the guild picture "update" isn't designed to entertain you? It's designed to, and I'm sure you know this, keep people from uploading vulgar pictures to their guild. While its a bit annoying, I think the pros outway the cons as there were definitely issues with vulgarity, etc. in guild pictures and those issues have ceased. On the bright side, the classic staff usually approve guild pictures in around ten seconds from my experience. Imagine if it took an hour, or even thirty minutes? Isn't the situation a whole lot better than it could be? And how has it ruined the idea of guild pictures? We're your guild pictures inappropriate before? If anything, this update has made people less inclined to fill their guild pictures with random images and designs. Now people actually come up with guild "logos" more often and it's kind of cool.

You have to see the bigger picture. Hats (and advertising them in the news) is how the game pays for itself. I sort of agree that they're a bit useless to me because I'll probably not buy one any time soon, but other people do like them.

There used to be a time on Classic where there truly were no updates, and they actually true to use "hats" as major updates. That time has past; there are definitely many more updates that have been coming out recently. Now that there's many more updates than just hats, we don't have to call the staff out ok trying to push them off as "big updates" because they aren't. Honesty, at this point, if the hats in the news really annoys people as much as it seems, then they're either just looking for something to complain about or jumping on the bandwagon because apparently dissing hats constantly is a "cool" thing.
