Some staff feel the need to broadcast their event 5 times over and over, or simply broadcast the same event every time the prize changes. This makes sense for things such as hide and seek, however, it is highly annoying for other events such as bomb spar. It only takes one broadcast to bring people to the arena, other people might be busy doing other things and don't want to read the same thing over and over for something they are not interested in. Can there be an option to hide or block broadcasts as a player?

Oh and this is what happens when you feedback such things. They warn you over broadcast. GG team. "don't abuse feedback"->*abuses broadcast to warn publicly*

Maybe separating announcements and events broadcasts like on iClassic? Those not wanting event announcements can turn them off in the options and another button to block all event/announcement broadcasts.

I don't think they are going to spend time on that. Its not hard to open a PM and close it. It takes under 10 seconds to open and close it.

Not when you are taking planets or doing missions and looking for orders from your leader of where to go next.

If they took messaging from Classic, that should be built-in as i separated the channel and added a toggle. If this is the case, they just need to add the actual toggle.

Yeah, I don't really understand the point of announcing winners; it just gives people an incentive to spam the winner with "congrats" or "lucky" or even "screw u u hacker." I agree 100%, some people just want to do their own things without the constant spam of the never ending events of zone.

PoeticFolly 02-19-2013 12:28 AM

That's incredibly unprofessional and immature to announce a problem like that over a broadcast. It would be much more effective and professional to pm them directly. That's just ******ed.
Inb4 Matt closes thread.

Guess they moderate feedback the same way as the zone subforum.

Seriously... Matt, just because someone has a differing opinion than you, doesn't mean you need to close the thread. Just because someone asks the community for help and doesn't want to wait for the long reply from the zone email, doesn't mean you should close the thread. And sweet baby Christ Jesus, just because someone says something negative about zone, doesn't mean you should close the thread and/or delete their response.
Jesus, learn to moderate a subforum.

Actually he spelt threatening wrong, along with like 2 other words in a 8 word sentence, simple reply of "next time use spell check when sending important messages please" will get you jailed.
