From Sketch to Pixels
 

Deff not my best work, but I couldn't get to sleep at around 3am, so I started doodling in my notebook. Eventually I decided to make a Charizard doodle and thought it would be cool if I did my Graal Character

and it turned out something like this

ugly I know, 3am doodles never come out sexy

then I had an idea to turn my doodle into pixel art out of shear boredom so I took a picture of it and uploaded it to my computer. I then proceeded to make the paper (background) plain white so it was easier to get rid off.

then I erased all the white leaving only the outline, I also used gimp to turn all the grey pixels to black by setting the piece on a limited color palate of white and black. Then I scaled it down, re-outlined the weak parts and added primary colors.

Then came the fun part of cleaning up the outline. I eventually moved around some pieces like making the wings shorter and the hood rounder, then I added some shading. It is really basic shading, but I think it looks good for what it really is.

so from 3am-7am, that is what I have done. Just felt like sharing haha.

Who needs sleep when you can create pixel art? :P

No but in all serious, I like it. The small bits of light on the wings make it pop and your character's eyes look like a plea for help. xD

Your Graal Character at the top is awesome. I would definitely buy that if it were in shops.

My only critique to give is that you used dithering for the foot ><, and his arm looks a bit out of proportion, everything else is really nice though. :)

Ya the arm is way out of whack.
The dithering on the foot is actually a part of my custom body within the game. Makes em look like footie pajamas lol. Thank you for your critique :)
