Sense of scammers

This is to help the people who can't tell scammers from trust worthy people and the ones without "common sense". I will be telling you guys scammers to becareful of. The reason i'm giving this info is because i actually care :P!

Now the people who have people's statues that say "legit" are usually fake, no matter how many they have. If they have a real admin statue than maybe...they're for real but besides that, don't trust'em.

Also, if someone says they'll give you two rares for the one you have and drop it, thats most likely a scam also. I mean who the hell gives 2 rares just for one? I mean unless its like an omega rare(not real, just an expression) than just no..

Another clear fakey is people who invite for auction and what not, total bull. All the auctions i've been invited to i've seen people kicked and scammed, in fact a scammer(someone i knew) said to someone that i thought he was legit, of course i didn't know this until the guy who was scammed blamed me. Becareful of these things people, i see 5+ people scammed a day, its crazy.

One last thing is i've noticed that scammers do is date someone with a rare that they want and just to get a freaken pixelated item, they use someone for there stupid wants, so for the ones that DO date online, becareful with who you're getting close to..

Now for the scammers i know of. NaTHaN, and icey. Yes i know, its only two people. I don't keep track of names, i may remember if i see it again but otherwise i'll know whats bound to happen. Now, they even may change their look and name, if you want me to watch and approve wether or not i trust them, sure go ahead. If any of you who actually g.a.f about this, post scammers below.

Ways you can help: Put in your status who scams(like some do already) and if not, at least tell someone(if during an auction) if in your opinion you trust them, if they don't believe you and they get scammed? That's their fault. And if someone may say they'll show proof, it could be a friend of there's, you never know.

Hope this helps in some sort of way to prevent scammers being successful. If you've been named, oh well. Life goes on.

P.S: If this decreases the activity of trading, i'm sorry for trying to be helpful to the community. Even if i get bad comments on this topic, all i know is i was able to help those who want/need it.

P.P.S: My grammar probably sucks, my bad. Been home from school cause of surgery, if this bothers you, don't read my posts.

Nice guide.
Pretty much anyone you see will scam you.
Just some plain advice from me is to never trade unless you know them in real life.
Even if they are a close friend that you met online. Don't trade.
Actually, go ahead and trade, just don't EVER drop first or at the same time.
Having people spectate does NOT help. No matter how "famous" a person is.
Remember: scamming is legal, don't be a victim and cry about it.
Most everyone has scammed at one point in their graal career. I know I have.

And I would post names of scammers, but I've only been scammed once, seen one scam (but I won't mention his name because he SEEMS to have changed), and heard about a lot of scams.

We already knew all of this. It's not news, duplicating old threads for rep isn't the way to go

Well I wasn't actually scammed. I let a friend borrow my umbrella awhile back and he ran off with it. Not sure what to call that.

Lol, i guess an I.O.U? Can't see how you borrow a rare lol, but thats a pretty bad friend. Sorry for you pal.

I go to player hosted auctions for one point : seeing people get scammed .

Edward 01-15-2013 11:07 AM

Thats what i see all the time, they invite everybody to their house for auction and then get scammed. Thats why i don't trust player auctions.

Graal943 01-15-2013 12:30 PM

You do have a point of being cautious so you don't get scammed, but it seems Garrett posted a link of my hacking video, which is something you will all need to be wary about now, you can no longer trust anyone. Never drop items in your house or leave them unattended. If you do drop something, keep an eye on players in your house, never speak with an item dropped because it gives an open window for a hacker to run by things and steal the item as well.

Zay 01-15-2013 12:54 PM

I got hack scammed once - basically they used some kind of software , when he waited for me to type , he teleported to my item and got off with it...

Edward 01-15-2013 01:17 PM

Thank you for your tip Mr.Hacker :P but i never drop my items so i need not to worry. People will be more cautious(hopefully) after reading this.

It's basically what I do, but increasing/decreasing the x and y variables in a slightly different way.

Edward 01-15-2013 03:16 PM

Certainly can't do anything about that but just to worn people about this.

There are a few ways actually to prevent yourself from being scammed this way. The way I showed people only works with decreasing the x or y variables, which for x would be going left and for y going up, so if you are in your own house and are going to trade, do not let the person you are trading with be below where the item(s) are or to the right, making it to where they can not walk through anything that blocks them thats are below them or to the right of them.
