NVIDIA Project Shield
Recently at CES 2013, with their announcement of Tegra 4, they revealed a mobile console with a Quad Core A15 processing chip and 720p resolution.

Controller looks ugly, reminds me of the original xbox.
|
Too bulky, and from reading some comments on neogaf, seems to have a lot of input lag when streaming games from a pc to it. Knowing nvidia it will likely cost a pretty penny as well.

Not. promising. at. all. No, just no.
|
I can guarantee this will fail.

I think this project is nicer than that TV box thing that everyone was wetting themselves over last year -- can't remember the name, but what ever happened to that? I know that this is something I wouldn't buy though.
Handheld consoles don't really seem that great to me anymore. Not when you can get a phone that can play games, or use emulators to play these games on a PC. I also don't understand the point of it connecting to your computer to play games. If you're going to be playing this in the house, you might as well play it on your computer lol. 'Nvidia says that any PC game that supports controllers can be played on the Shield' so at least it will support Graal! |
