Anyone else getting bored of Halo 4?
 

I'm already getting bored with this game. I just don't feel it has the replay value halo 3 and reach had.
how are you guys feeling about it?

Halo 3 will always be the best Halo in my opinion. Halo 4 really isn't getting boring to me yet, but I think they did a really bad job with the maximum rank. I'm already 108 and the max is 130. Halo 3 and Halo 4 it takes freaking forever to earn the max rank which I like. 343 Industries I have not really been nearly as satisfied with as I was with Bungie. I think Halo 4 will be the Halo with the lowest lasting appeal.

I totally agree it's super easy to rank up in Halo 4, it's not even funny.
Halo 3 will always be my favorite as well..just because I remember playing split screen with my friends back in the day.

also it feels like this halo takes zero skill to play.
halo has always been about skill the more skillful player always use to win most of his gun fights.
but I can owned by randoms all the time that just run into a room with an assault rifle and spray n pray. and here's another thing that happens noobs get ordinance drops off assists and crap like that..
you never know if your foe will just run in with an incineration cannon..
this game is so unpredictable..

Halo 3 was by farrrrr the best. So much nostalgia playing fatboy and jenga and all the other cool custom maps. And the music was amazing as well aha.

Personally I think ranking up in Halo 4 is WAY to easy, many players are already at the level Cap, hopefully they will expand it.

what the **** happened.. almost as bad as cod..
only thing I really love about this game is the campaign,
that's it. I only play it because all my friends are.

I just got like 36 games of double XP so I might actually get on today.

You can't compare the two. Halo 3 was more of the trueskill system. Halo 4 is just a simple experience system that uses trueskill to match you up.

You can't compare the gameplay, but you can surely compare the ranking systems. He's saying that Halo 3 was more of a skill-oriented ranking system which required the highest TrueSkill (like Elo) attainable as a prerequisite to the max rank, and said that it was preferrable to a progression system that Halo 4 and Reach used. I do prefer the former as well, since you actually required to be really good to reach General, whereas casual people that play enough can reach max rank without much skill required.

i got bored of halo 1 back in 2002

I haven't been invested heavily in a halo game since halo 3. I was really addicted to that. I played the story in ODST once, I played halo reach for a few weeks and stopped. I played halo 4 for a few weeks and stopped. They just don't... click to me anymore. Maybe its the mediocre map designs? I think its that. I can't think of any iconic maps that have emerged since halo 3.
