The rain and cloud effects are awesome! But what if we had a nighttime effect?

Some pros and cons:

Pros:
• Streetlights can be turned on in the day, and turned off at night
• You can add new baddies, or NPCs. For example; raccoons, skunks, bats, etc.
• New neon signs on buildings, can be turned on and off
• Clocks can be GIF files ;)
• Headlights on cars can be useful
• You have a massive variety of new items to make! For example; flashlights (can be turned on and off, with a GUI icon similar to the car's headlight enable GUI), (working) night vision goggles, lanterns, etc.

Cons:
• May cause lag for some players
• Needs to be a mandatory effect for all players, otherwise new items, and NPCs/baddies would just be weird for other players
• Requires lots of work

I always wanted that night time feeling in Graal Era. The only time it felt like that was last years Halloween.

I LIKE IT! A couple of things that i am thinking of though.

A. 20 minutes day and night
B. Make day and night for ALL players (that way not giving people who dont use the weather effect a very unfair advantage)
C. Ditch the weather system, make it be programmed in game for every player.

D. Make it sound less like minecraft where NPC's only come out at night. And make robbers who sit in trees and try to jump you day/night (much more at night though)


Also add in

Head lamps, a hat you buy for $500 that is like a flashlight but dosen't need to be eqquipped. Lights up a path that is infront of the player

lanterns, same idea but instead of a light in front its a smaller light all around the player

MAKE THE NIGHT VISION GOGGLES ACTUALY NIGHT VISION, makes the screen light green letting the user see everything on screen.

Lighters. We need lighters.

Gif clocks wouldn't work, the file would have to be huge. I also don't agree with anything else but the concept. Doesn't Era have a day / night system? iEra can have an altered version of that.

I agree, they are going to add more features to this effect than the ones I've listed, if the update ever comes in the future.

Not an actual time recorder, just one needle moving around 360 degrees.

Well, you don't need day / night for that, you can have it now. But it still seems like an annoying little detail that isn't needed. There are nice little details, like the ones you see / saw on Atlantis, but this is not one of them.

There's already the silver zippo from the sparkler gani, so it would be even easier to implement, in terms of not having to draw one out.

There used to be a nighttime effect in the weather... But it wasn't strongly executed and I think it was removed. Not sure.

I like the idea, but then the server should probably have a Server Time and there could be a big clock tower in Start Park
