Metal Gear Solid Series
 

I've played and beat Mgs1, Mgs2, Mgs3. I am currently playing Mgs Twin Snakes (Mgs1 remake for Gamecube) on my wii, with no memory card.

How many have you played and what did you think of them?

I played them all. I think my favorite is MGS2--it's just such a solid game and took everything about MGS1 and improved it. I do remember enjoying MGS3 a lot when I first played it, but I recently borrowed it from my brother-in-law and had a hard time getting back into it. It's way harder than I remember since the radar is mostly useless. I've always wanted to get Twin Snakes but was kind of put off by the cheesy cutscenes(matrix crap) and apparently much easier gameplay(since they put FPS aiming in a game that wasn't designed for it).

MGS4 was great, but not sure if I'll ever find myself revisiting it... maybe. The portion where you go back to Shadow Moses was just downright awesome and pulls at your emotions.

I played MGS3 on the 3DS awhile ago. I liked it.

As you can tell, I'm addicted. I haven't played mgs4 yet... And I'm not too thrilled about Old Snake.

I played MG, MGS1, MGS2, MGS3, and MGS4. So, I've played all the ones that matter in any way. I loved MGS 1 through 4. Probably enjoyed the 3rd the best. The original Metal Gear from 1987 was mostly crap, though.

Meh, it's just a skin. They kind of try to play it into the plot but I didn't find it all that relevant as they were trying to make it be(at least gameplay-wise).

From what I remember, the Metal Gear on the NES we got in the States was NOT the same Metal Gear from Japan, but a vastly inferior version. Or something like that, might benefit to look into it.

I don't know why but I think that I laughed way harder than I should have at that.

I'm mad about Revengence. It was originally called Metal Gear Rising (much better title and the graphics look better.) AND it was supposed to take place before Mgs4. After some issues with development, they switched companies? and started the game from scratch. (or at least, the company taking over main development decided to completely rework how the game plays.) Now, it's called Metal Gear Revengence, which looks lame compared to the original vision of Rising AND it takes place AFTER Mgs4. I'm disappointed about Rising, which looked like and is described as a superior, or was supposed to be, superior game. *exhale*

Metal Gear Solid, easy top ten game of all-time.
Played Sons of Liberty, loved it also but nothing compares to MGS.
