Pokémon Quest (Switch/iOS/Android/"PC")

Hello everyone, I decided to make a thread for the game Pokémon Quest since I've been playing it for a while and I'm wondering if other graalians have played it as well.
Ofcourse this thread is also a nice way to share tips, tricks, strategies and anything else regarding the game.

Spoiler
If you want to play on PC you'll have to use an Android Emulator, luckily there's a very good one which is specialized for mobile games, it's quite easy to download and use as well.

Simply download the emulator from https://www.bluestacks.com/ and search for 'Pokémon Quest' on the Google Playstore and download it.
From there on you can play to your heart's content.

Tips, Tricks & Strategies
- Don't get too attached to pokemons, you can easily get a higher leveled version of the same pokemon with better stats later in the game.
- Use Area Of Effect moves if you have them
- If you want to play on auto try to make sure your pokemon only knows one good move so it doesn't waste time on using anything that's not the best
- Rhyhorn/Rhydon and Abra/Kadabra/Alakazam are an easy way to get through early-game as they're easy to obtain yet very strong (see recipes)
- Hit Healing (Lifesteal) is one of the strongest stats on stones
- Always cook, never leave your cooking pot(s) empty unless you're fully out of resources
- Make good use of powerstones, make sure they fit the pokemons mechanics
- Don't forget to spend some PM Tickets on storage expansions since you'll need them
- If you want to nolife and are playing on a mobile device or emulator you can simply change your date to refill the battery charge, just make sure to switch it back to the real date whenever you want to claim your daily PM Tickets
- Shiny Pokemons use the same icons as their normal version so I suggest renaming them to something obvious before you sacrifice them on accident

I'm currently still making my way to completing the game, level 100's and all that while also trying to build the perfect team.
So far I have a machamp as substitute for mewtwo (second best pokemon for support) and 2 starmies yet only one knows hydro pump, the other is still stuck with psychic because I've had terrible rng.
Their bingo bonuses aren't optimal yet but they get the job done for now and once I encounter a better staryu->starmie to level up I'll switch them out.
In case you are wondering what the best team in the game is, here you go:
Spoiler

It's quite surprising how broken hydro pump is to be honest

Looks like a minecraft+Pokemon game. Do you play as a Pokemon? Seems fun. May check it out sometime, I know games like these are kinda cheesy i suppose it that makes sense, but I don't think they ever made a Mobile legitimate 3D game of pokemon. Used to love it as a kid

I beat it in two days

is that even possible? did you pay like $100?

Hoped it would have been bit more playable than the pokemon just doing it themselves pretty much(even when auto off)

You basically make a team of 3 pokemons and you complete slightly randomized levels with like 3-4 waves of enemies with a boss at the end. You can let it play automatically or do moves manually, the normal attacks and moving towards enemies is always automatic though.
Other than that you collect ingredients to cook stews which attract different pokemons depending on the recipe you use
Shinies are in this game aswell and their rates are pretty decent considering getting pokemons is on the slow side without in-app purchases.

Yeah same here, would have been cool if you could tap to move to specific places and turn auto on/off per individual pokemon.
Been enjoying the game nonetheless though, the grindyness of the rng with obtaining pokemons keeps me going

Also I'm so dissapointed in my starmie that does not have hydro pump, I just did move-learning for the 12th time or so and it still hasn't picked hydro pump...
Rng really hates me or this specific starmie

Edit:
Managed to get a better staryu from cooking so I replaced mr failure, having 2 starmies spamming hydro pump is very nice, even completed the final stage on auto on first try.

I thought this game would be a nod to the Mystery Dungeon series but the fact that the game plays itself is a massive slap to the crotch tbh.

it’s basically minecraft pixelmon which was conveniently taken down in preparation for this game’s release, but with cooldowns/energy to make it pay2win, as is common for mobile games (ex: clash of clans and nintendo’s animal crossing mobile game). for me, it would be a cool game if there weren’t so many restrictions, but it’s understandable as the entire mobile gaming platform is a moneygrab in 2018.

also shoutout to mystery dungeon i’ve been replaying explorers of time, still a very fun game.

Guys how do u increase your team total HP and Attack,
I keep running out of those gems and I can’t reach the next level.

Know any good combinations on cooking to summon some good Pokémon?

Minecraft pixelmon was more like the original games but yeah I'm like 99% sure they took down pixelmon because it could interfere with pokemon quest its popularity
It also follows the regular mobile waiting game mechanics but since you can alter your time to keep playing it is playable just fine imo

Good mid-game pokemons are onix(rock throw), rhyhorn(megahorn) and machamp(bulk up) since they're very easy to get if you just farm rock/ground recipes
As for stones just keep beating the highest stage you're capable of and you'll get better ones over time

reminds me of pokemon rumble.
neato!
