Any critique on the particular style? I know its only faces as of right now (the next comic will have full body shots and such) but I'm experimenting and this was done rather quickly,

I quite like it to be honest. I like how you're showcasing the character's faces and expressions instead of just their entire body. It's a really nice idea and you should keep it up.
