Is there a way to find weapon stats?

Hey there!

Something ive wanted for awhile is an updated gun spreadsheet that lists the specific stats of each (or most) guns in the game, stuff like freeze, reload etc.

I know its been done before but the old sheet is out of date mostly now. I understand that it would be a chore to do a new one but i was wondering,

Is it possible to find this information myself? Say if you had an android device with a file-explorer type app, could you find the files of the weapon and see its stats through some way for example? If this is some kind of confidential info or whatever then i understand, id just like to know more about a weapon before i buy it or be able to compare small things like the freeze values of different weapons. I feel like its necessary to have this information through one way or another.

Cheers!

I'd be ecstatic if I could actually see the damage and the other information on the purchase menu, tbh.

For very good reasoning, i would say it’s within everyone’s best interest that these statistics are kept private.

A rough guide, description or perhaps even a visual aid would be nice to display gun stats however

I dont think it is necessary for players to know this. For one they won't understand or will only focus on the numbers.

If you know the freeze (low, medium, high), spread, reload time, clip size, accuracy, ROF...That's all. In descriptions you can find these only difference is it is in words not numbers. If the description said Freeze: 0.5...None would become wiser but if one said Freeze: Medium...You get an idea of how the gun would function.

You’re saying knowing the exact numbers is less informative about how a gun functions compared to vague terms that can include any range of numbers?

The real reason stats are not displayed in numbers is so people buy guns without knowing whether it’s better or worse compared to the guns they already own which causes people to buy them even if they’re worse since they can’t know that beforehand.
It acts as money sink and increases the chances of people buying gralat packs

It is also a major deterrent of hacking

If that was the case, then why does Era have an entire page dedicated to the statistics of every gun in-game?

Well from an educated guess, I would say that those posted statistics are very close to the actual statistic.

I.e Weapon stats for a Pistol displayed to the public;
Fire rate: 0.2
Reload: 0.3
Freeze: 0.4

Actual Weapon Stats to avoid hacking:
Fire rate: 0.200001472
Reload: 0.299999456
Freeze: 0.400001736

As for Ol’West and from experience, this is not a method they currently use on all weapons

Although I have been out of this thing for a long time now, so if era have found a way to detect the alteration of gun stats from the client then there’s is no need to hide gun stats anymore and ignore everything I stated above ¯\_(ツ)_/
It certainly used to be true though
