In case any of you have not heard, Apple will likely be holding their annual iPhone event on October the 4th. The expected features for the iPhone are a larger screen, 1080p HD video recording, a thinner phone, new design, a dual core A5 processor, and 1GB of RAM. Also expected to be announced is a new iPhone 4S that features a minor spec bump. This year is the iPod's 10th anniversary, so expect to see a new line-up of iPods as well! Lastly, who else is excited for iOS 5? I know I am! I just wanted to keep you all up to date in the world of Apple.

One last thing...who thinks they'll get an iPhone 5? I'm seriously considering purchasing one.

I already have a Windows Phone 7 with Mango.

^^ what he said.. besides I didn't think they could add anymore functionality to the current iPhone so the iPhone 5 can only improve by better camera specs and such, if its just tech specs upgraded I don't see the iPhone 5 being a big hit. Same with the IOS.

I am not considering purchasing it. I will purchase it.

I liked the iPhone 4's design, and if they change it too dramatically, I probably won't buy it cuz I wanted an iPhone without the plan just for the design of it rather than getting an iPod.

Well my mom's upgrading. But who cares about the new devices. Let's hear it for iOS5! Woo I've been looking forward to it for a long time

I suspect the iPhone 5 will be just as big of hit, they've been expanding to a lot more carriers, and I'm sure there's plenty of new customers (like myself) waiting to upgrade their existing phones to a brand-new spanking iPhone.

Hopefully they'll use Delta/OTA updates to keep their phone up-to-date in features compared to competitors. Can't wait to see how the Jailbreak Team's work around it as well.

Faster? Idk why but you seem to be spamming every thread even if it doesn't relate to you at all and you're kind of getting on my nerves...

I don't understand the big deal about them releasing a new iPhone. Sure they're going to make it faster, more efficient, etc. but is it really that much better that you'll spend ridiculous amounts of money to upgrade to a new phone. I would like an iPhone but i don't really need it since my phone will suffice, and I'm cheap.

i don't understand why apple is making the screen bigger xD well as long as the games are still playable on the 'Small screen'...
