You think the game is bad because you can't equip adamant armor? Only requires 40 defence which is super easy lol.. I could get base 40 all combat stats including prayer and summoning in one day, just have to get good dude (even on OSRS)

Update: At 94 range and about to hit 92 slayer (Airuts woo). Will probably hit 95 range before I log off tonight, also 16m constitution(HP) exp and 21m fishing done tonight too.

Took some time off to farm chaos elemental kills today (@300) since I want pet and get nothing, will do 300 more tomorrow.

EOC/Current Runescape is much better than OSRS, however it just doesn't feel like runescape and that's most people's problem. It's a better game, people just don't like change.
I personally prefer OSRS due to nostalgia however I do realise that EOC is a better game.

I think osrs is the better game and so do most people.
Our dev team works closely with the community and don't make promises they can't make true unlike what the RS3 team has done several times in the past.
We also aren't used as a cashcow unlike RS3 with a ton of MTX involving xp boosts in-game and don't deal with things like double xp keeping the achievement in reaching 99's in skills to a higher standard which in turn makes it feel like an actual accomplishment.
OSRS also has community events where anyone can join in, may it be deadmanmode for 10k/20k$ prizes, design contests or even ideas for future content.
Oldschool runescape also takes the leads in streaming and has a bigger playerbase in general due to the game being more enjoyable to play and watch for most people.

Either way though, what you end up playing is mostly down to personal preference and just because one game is "better" doesn't mean the other one is bad.
I absolutely love how skills like dungeoneering work in RS3 and I even found divination to be enjoyable due to the socializing with people there along the way.
Both have their ups and downs and as long as you enjoy it who cares really, we're all part of the same journey in the end.

Also, ethacons opinion on RS3 is super outdated and quitting just because you need 10 more levels at a low level(which is easy & only would have taken like 1-2 hours at his level) just means runescape isn't for you in general.

Anyways, just reached 90 firemaking on osrs and also finally got my boots to complete the pyromancer outfit.

Will probably reach 99 fm in a week or so since it's one of the easiest/fastest skills.
Once that's done I'm probably going to do some quests to unlock Kudo's in the varrock museum til I have 100 for acces to fossil island.
I might have to get like 70 agility before I can really do anything on the island though, need to get full graceful for weight reduction when I plan to do the agility/hunter minigame there.

This stuff will probably take 2-4 weeks of continuous grinding

It's not what I would have to do for it to not matter anymore it's the fact they did that in the first place.

The game was just fine, what isn't broken doesn't need fixed.

The game has not been the same either since that lumbridge God Battle.

I just don't like how much it has change.

I like change, change is nice sometimes but this was too much.

Levels were adjusted because it made more sense for the tiers that came with eoc to maintain the game in the long run.
It also helped them to adjust things like smithing and fit in higher tier gear because there was demand for it.
Either way I still think it's kind of stupid to claim the level change as one of the reasons for quitting when the stats you're talking about are possible to be obtained in the first day of an account.

I do agree on everything else you just posted though, eoc and everything after that changed the game too much hence why most people quit.

Ew who plays runescape anymore

I remember getting into OSRS because of that gnome child meme. I still play the game from time to time, and I do plan on getting the membership once I'm done with the free quests.

You should, once you get like 70+ melee or range stats + membership you can easily make money to afford a bond for 14 days of members in like 3-5 hours of playtime
With 90+ stats it will probably take as little as 3 hours or even less to obtain a bond

This is how I currently afford membership on 2 accounts by using my main

1-99 firemaking in 7 days of grinding lol

Eugeen 10-08-2017 01:59 PM

Got 60 agility on my hp pure so far, still need 2 pieces for full graceful.
I might just go for 70 agility and get enough marks to recolor the graceful set to white.
Not sure what else I'm gonna do at this point yet

Stats so far, getting fossils at a decent rate here.
Gained 15k hitpoints xp just for completing fossil displays today

The only annoying thing is that I can't use the exp lamps from large fossils unless I have 50hp already.
So it's gonna take a while to get my hp up further after completing all small+medium cases.

Got pet at 2204 kills, passed 17m HP exp and about 4-5 hours from 99 range and a couple more slayer tasks until 95 slayer (haven't done much PvM recently).

Got 15m prayer exp banked so grinding out until I hit 30m prayer exp now then I'll continue with combat.
