Delteria Beta Live Stream - Sat. Jan 13th - 11AM EST (4PM GMT)

Hey everyone!

To launch the Delteria iOS/Android beta, we will be hosting a Twitch live stream on Saturday January 13th at 11AM EST (4PM GMT).

The Twitch event can be found here: https://www.twitch.tv/events/6ypKHMScRbaMOsYVlBuhgQ

Delteria is still pending to be added to the Twitch game directory, it should be done by Saturday, but the event will display as Classic until then.

The stream will showcase the game's intro, tutorial quests, explore the city of Kaljun Port and run through the first dungeon. The entire stream will act as an AMA (Ask Me Anything) so you'll be able to ask questions about the server development, plans for the future and anything else that you're curious about.

We'll be spending a lot of time focused on the first dungeon run and on Kaljun Port. Kaljun Port is the starting town and will be the main hangout location for the majority of our players. When players aren't actively doing quests or adventuring, they'll likely be in Kaljun Port showing off their loot and chatting with friends. There's a lot of cool stuff in the town to see and a ton of Easter eggs to find.

For those of you who don't know me, I have worked for Delteria since 2012. I have acted as the Lore Manager and GM Manager in the past and I am currently working as a Project Coordinator. I'll be playing through on a freshly reset staff account so this means I'll be able to showcase some of the out of bounds areas, behind the scenes features unique to Delteria, and stuff we have planned for the future. We will also be checking in with other members of the development team to get their perspective of how Delteria changed over the past 5 years.

Please note I do not hire staff members and this stream is not an appropriate place to inquire about working for the server. No staff abilities nor in game items will be given out in exchange for viewing, however I will be giving out iOS and Android beta keys if you didn't get one from our beta lottery by then.

TL;DR Delteria Beta Stream. Come hangout this Saturday, January 13th at 11AM EST for some shenanigans and get a first look at the newest GraalOnline server and a chance at a beta key if you need one.

I'll likely be going for 8+ hours to really show off as much as I can. Check in when you get home to see what's going on is probably your best bet.

Absolutely not. Donating or subscribing will not give you ANY competitive edge in winning a key. You technically do not even need to follow the channel in order to enter, however following is free and appreciated. Following will also tell you about future streams such as at Official Launch and Developer previews of upcoming content.

The only requirements to enter and win is to be in chat and logged in to a Twitch account. You need to have a Twitch account because you need to be able to enter a command in chat to enter. You also need an email associated with an iTunes or Google Play account in order to receive the invite if you win.

How many keys are being given out?

This will depend on how many people are watching and interested in winning. They will also be spread out throughout the stream, so the longer the stream the more keys will be given out.

Ximithie 01-11-2018 04:15 PM

how about the people that dont win any keys but have signed up for them through the site that was given out weeks ago and were in top 100 ?

Keys for people who signed up will start going out Soon (TM). Quite probably before Saturday. Those people will likely not need to even participate in the giveaway unless they're entering for a friend. Those are the people I'll be running into in game during the stream.

I talk a lot and I'm passionate about Delteria so it'll be hard to shut me up. I'm getting over a cold though so I may still be coughing a bit.

Sorry that you'll miss the stream, but enjoy your trip to Georgia! There will be other streams in the future and Delteria will be waiting for you when you get back.

I have a chat bot that will allow you to enter by entering a command in chat (Such as !raffle or !enter). The bot will advertise in chat and I'll announce it on stream.

The winner(s) will be selected at random from all entrants. The winner(s) will PM myself or a mod in chat, this will be specified in real time, with their iTunes email and we will send them a key.

There will be multiple raffles throughout the day. Will be giving out codes every ~30 minutes during the stream.

Nibbles 01-13-2018 12:01 AM

Hope I win!!

Vladamir Blackthorne 01-13-2018 01:07 AM

Can we ask some questions beforehand that you can go through during the stream?

Sure, if you'd like! That's a great idea. Anything I can prepare in advance is welcomed so I can look like less of a jerk live.

Don't worry if you don't think of everything ahead of time, you can come by and ask me while I'm live and I'll answer anything and everything to the best of my ability.

Zara2 01-13-2018 02:15 AM

This seems like a fun game

Well one I have atm might be something you don't know but I want to know, what is done differently with Delteria on the new engine that could benefit other servers in the future?

Quite a few things actually:

Shading and particle effects are greatly improved. This leads to better looking effects in game.

Unity provides a stable inter-platform experience. This means that the servers can be played on PC, Mac, iOS and Android all without skipping a beat. A new PC/Mac client would be required, but once it's made it would provide a much more fluent experience for everyone. Right now the PC version of Delteria looks amazing, but iOS has a ton of missing particles and stuff. If the PC version was in Unity, we would see everything that iOS sees.

Better baddie AI capabilities, easier to program enemies to do more interesting things in a smarter way. On top of just baddie AI, the engine provides a ton of stuff that GS2 just can't do on it's own.

It's really just better all around. Unity gives us the opportunity to become a more modernized game and to reach bigger markets. You can consider it a stepping stone for Graal 2.0

TeK 01-13-2018 07:12 AM

Interesting I’ll probably check in every now and then

Zazzi* 01-13-2018 05:30 PM

The stream is live!

Haslo 01-14-2018 06:58 AM

Thanks for everyone who stopped by, it was a lot of fun. Congratulations to everyone who got a key, mount, trading card etc. Hope everyone who wanted one got a beta key for iOS. My goal wasn't to be stingy with them.

There will be other streams in the future, just don't expect giveaways like that every time. There will definitely be other opportunities to ask questions and explore with me. Especially as bugs get fixed and we release new content.

Thanks again for the opportunity to share an insider look of Delteria with all of you.

No, because of the sheer size of the file and the length of the stream. You can watch the VODs here: https://www.twitch.tv/themeich/videos/all

There were some early technical difficulties, which resulted in 3 VODs, so I would recommend just watching the most recent one and skipping through it. It's 13.5 hours long and available directly right here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/218212025

Haslo 01-20-2018 07:42 PM

Live again if you're interested.

Demoing new party system. Showing off the new MHX dungeon which is actually MHX in the past. You travel through time and break your time machine and have to fight your way out.

Giving out iOS beta keys as well as some random cosmetic stuff and playing cards.

EDIT: Stream over! thanks for hanging out. If you missed it you can follow my channel here https://www.twitch.tv/themeich Following is free and lets you know when I'm on showing off Delt stuff.

Hope you guys like the new party system and the new (old) MHX dungeon. Both should be live in a few days.

Eugeen 01-21-2018 08:00 AM

It was a fun stream, can't wait for the MHX dungeon
