What era of rap do you like most?
I'm not going to say old school because there's so many interpretations of old school rap it's not even funny. I'll have to say mine was the mid to late 90s, I haven't enjoyed the late rap though, Drake and stuff lol.

Hard to put it into eras since hip hop is so young as a genre but the underground artists in the early to mid 2000s were really good and everyone obviously loves the old boom bap era. But there's a lot of good new stuff if you don't like trap (which I assume you mean when you say present day).

90's rap most definitely. I grew up listening to all of them. Rap music today wont ever go as hard as 90s.
You had some of the hardest rappers out there such as 2pac, Wu-tang, Rakim, The D.O.C., and so many more. And the beef between rappers, or west coast vs east coast, produced some of the best diss songs ever. All time favorite diss song has to probably be "Dollaz+Sense" by DJ Quik. He was dissing MC Eiht, basically ending mc eihts career. |
