Looks like a great game lol.

Isn't the Graal3D project dead though? That was years ago.

At least the client was easy to mod, used Direct X 3 or 5 though making models generally incompatible. System had no manner of scripting or multiple levels though.

There are two versions of Graal3D, the one in the OP and the one Callimuc posted. The one Callimuc posted is the very original Graal3D coded by Stefan from the ground up, and was made not too long after Graal itself was made(I think it's from 1999 or so?). The second one was made using an engine, though I forget what engine they used; may have been Torque. It was much more modernized and "properly" developed than the original, since it was using an actual engine rather than doing it from scratch. You can find quite a few screenshots of that floating around(even on the main page if you can navigate your way through the maze that is the GraalOnline site) since Graal3D was made open beta to people who bought VIP or something like that.

Can I still play? I don't care how crappy it is. Graal in 3D is amazing.

Dusty 09-02-2012 03:54 AM

I don't think the newer one is available at all(though I have seen a client) and even if it was it was a server so there would be nothing to connect to. The original really isn't worth playing, trust me. At least the one I tried was nothing but a few blocks and all you could do is jump(it was reaaaaaally bad jump physics too).

No there isn't.

It looked like it had potential.

There are far more screenshots on the Graal server status thing (I've forgotten both the name and URL) if anyone is interested. There are ones in a town and things.

Thanks! That's exactly what I meant.

Sup3rn00b 09-03-2012 11:54 PM

can we go on with the project... making the people less barf-worthy?

Vladamir Blackthorne 09-04-2012 12:41 AM

I wonder why this got cancelled... A era fps would've been awsome :(

I've always heard excessive lag. Some of the people actually around when it all happened would know better. I'm sure there's something on the official forums about it if you search.
