Player Hosted Auctions
This isn't guarenteed, this is just me writing down my thoughts on the idea.
Instead of a trading system, maybe a Player Hosted Auction system would work better. Players could choose what item to auction (could restrict certain items such as items you buy in a store players couldn't buy an item and auction it for a higher price to unaware players), how long to auction it for, and maybe a minimum bid. Players could auction their own items and reduce spam for staff to host auctions all the time, and fix the timezone problem of auctions. To prevent players going in a low populated room and giving items to friends for a low price/not making much money on an item, if it doesn't reach a certain amount of money, the player gets their item back. Maybe limit the amount of auctions a player can host a day so players don't get rich quick and ruin the economy. Anyways, this is just me writing down my thoughts on this concept. Thoughts on this? |
Nice idea :)

Player Hosted Auctions
Players can put up their items for auction
Dropping is disabled for all items in return Player Makes profit on highest bidder of item, highest bidder of course gets the item Every item has a baseline of what it has to sell for so people don't get jipped? like BAR minimum is 100K (Half it's price) etc Thoughts? (Idea by Chaotic) Reason being if we are to take away dropping items, people will still want a way to give away items or offload some. This was you can't be scammed and you make profit. |
Good idea

Win-Win

Yes, yes, yes!
|
Great idea
|
oh you made one already lmao #fail
|
Also could there be an infinite number of auction rooms?
So players who want to auction off there items don't have to wait for a room to open. |
but what if the player doesnt like the price they ended up selling their item for? It will lead to more complaining
|

Can't figure out to merge threads
|
Great idea. But about the "minimum bid," what if a player just spams an auction everyday: They put up a worthless item and make the minimum bid 800k and make the time a couple hours. That would just waste time for other player auctions. Maybe if the minimum bid for the same player isn't reached after they've tried several times they would be banned from player auctions for a week (can't enter the player auction level).
|
they wont allow it. Players can buy cheaper guns etc...

Maybe player's can vote to end an auction and if it reaches a certain amount of votes the item and money are returned to their owners
|
Sounds reasonable. I have no complaints to this idea.
|
or make the minimum bid the half point value of the items original cost,
ex: BAR minimum=100k |
Ok merged
|
cute idea
Wonderful philosophy OK Good luck to success of this topic^^ |
ok
. |
I don't like this idea.
We shouldn't have anything based on where players are recieiving an item cheaper than anywhere else. Bad bad idea. |
Haha Jester you've said bar for half price three times, edit post.

Players will start just buying stuff in this black market, so money only circulates around players :[ |
Not really, not everyone will be eager to auction off their best guns so players would still have to work to get those. This will also increase motive to add more guns to the server imo
|
If this is what the players what, give it to them. Otherwise, your going to loose more players. But then again, I bet were gaining more everyday... anyways if the "people" ask for a trading system, why not give it to them for now? If it causes trouble, remove it. ez.
Give the people what they want. |

In regards to Jester; **** no to auctionning your guns. HELL NO, never. Period.
Gamelova; I care not what the players want, when it'll damage the server more than do good, it is not wise just to add something so carefreely. NCJ; The general idea of player auctions is horrible, 10k a month for selling a crapton of items.. people will start buying and selling, making huge profits.. It's not good. |

Snake; of course it will cause problems. Real World Trading. Golden Katana for 5.99$ so that's one issue. Care to give others Snake? |

People using it to amass money e.g buy something cheap try sell it higher. If money is circulating around players, this means money isn't leaving the economy and so what happens is there is so much money in the economy and prices don't go up so people just keep getting richer in the long run. Well there tons of online games where the players control those aspects. It's called a economy.

Graal isn't Runescape. Era PC has been reset several times because of this problem. Runescape was made with an economy in mind. Graal, was not. Quote:

So what are you going to do?

if the price was too low couldnt the player have a cancel command?
|
Great idea.
|
At least selling rares such as souizen would be nice. Auction guns would be a good choice for player auctions.
|
Opening a player mall, would be a good idea haha. Like, you can say /mall and it opens up a search bar where you can search for items you want. Each player gets a stand, if they pay for it of course. I was thinking a timer , like 1k gralats per hour or something. And the seller has a option of running a scaled price , EX: Shamrock Dagger price: 800+ gralats , you bid your price , get a notification if outbid. You can also run a one price -easier to make for devs- and just say , Shamrock dagger price: 1200 gralats, or a third option that's beneficial for the seller and the buyer of a item offer. Such as 2 crab daggers, or a clover+500 gralats . A very nice idea to add <3 just a idea.

Game was made for the players. Quit being greedy and forget your stupid game and give the players what they want for once. For ****s sake you're adding candy land, and that's good for the "modern cops vs gangsters" game?

Game is made for players, game is made for business, business is made to make money. It's not about greed Jester, it's about the life span of this game, so don't be an absolute bellend and actually think about it logically and read what people are actually saying. I see nothing of profit nor do I care about it, and my opinion is that it'll ruin the server. |
My opinion is the server has already gone to ****
