House NPCs
House NPCs So Psycher! and I were talking on Graal the other day and he mentioned an idea about NPCs that you could have in your house. I thought this was a pretty cool idea. There could be NPCs for a security guard, butler, cook, etc. These could be used for roleplaying, decoration, and more. I think players would really make a great use out of them. Below is a demonstration of what I think they should be like if they were added. http://i.imgur.com/aZRdd.png http://i.imgur.com/qicr5.png http://i.imgur.com/SzrcD.png |
Holy crap. That looks pretty awesome. How did you get the pictures to demonstrate how they would look?

Don't forget to add actions like Sit, Idle, or any Gani you own.
Nice idea, would be quite good.. maybe it could be npc item then have the option when bought where you could pick the head & body for the npc (maybe so it could only use heads that you have got)
knowing the staff team, if it is made it'll be like 100k gralats each. lmfao.
Maybe there could be an advanced option where you could actually script its actions like the level editor. That's probably too much to ask for, but it's an idea.
good idea, i know people use statues for this, but this looks better
Me likey
Why don't they just edit the statue to do this?
I think I'll do such a thing on iEra :) could give it to Rufus than aswell if it's fine with him and snk

Awesome Idea, I hope they go with it. I currently use statues, but the little blue thing at the bottom is lame. You are a genius dewd.
very nice idea xO

Era finally had something cool before classic, then Classic has to make it cooler.
albert is a sexy butler
Wow that would be awesome

The problem is probably allowing the player to actually customize these NPCs in a simple and hassle-free way; especially on iPods where you can only fit so much on the screen. |

Not bad. I could see some potential with this - like that one RPG-styled house Applez posted. Could make for something interesting.

im ignoring the translation in my scripts as i dont support it and hope it will get removed but that part of the script isnt mine - its part of the "main" scripts so i didnt want to remove it from there |

Well its done on iEra but didn't feel like releasing it yet. want to do other stuff first and release it within one (bigger?) shop :P
but id be fine with sharing it with iclassic, even though its actually a pretty simple script and the movement isnt that bad (thanks pix <3) |
blablablah *skips off topic german stuff*
ok back on topic AWESOME IDEA! But i dont think its necessary to make a new furnitur item. INSTEAD, use the grabbable player statue. To make the ststue pook like your desired npc, change your look and grab. The npc text and stuff can just be added to the statues options. so basically add these options to statue: -Nickname -Message on touch -hide/show statue base (so it will look like an npc not a statue...) |
