Donating to the Fountain at MoD Town.
 

Okay, so there is an ability to donate Gralats at the new MoD Town. Is there a specific point in this? Or just for fun? Just curious, what's your thoughts on the fountain and its purposes

I don't think anyone would just waste their gralats for fun. There must be some point to it.

stefan required a way for kids to get rid of their money and spend gralat packs.

Hmm, did you ever play iEra before? It kinda reminds me of when you had to grab the fountain. And people who grabbed the fountain so many times would get items, a hat (if you participated at all) and other things I think. I wonder if it's like that? You donate Gralats, and in the future you will be rewarded with how much you had donated?

well this is different. iEras was a random community effort towards a large amount that was announced. This is just taking gralats with no proven effect.

Admins hide in the fountain and collect the gralats.

can someone please explain the fountain donations? i never knew about this when ipassed by that old fountain.

Grab it and it asks how much you want to donate, 1, 5, 50, or 100

doubt it. Stefan would never permit it so that new players could find out and donate a lot and have endless gralats.

What if there is a secret passage under neath the fountain and there's some random NPC collecting all of it?

I find the fountain very useful for evening out the total amount of gralats one has.

That was at Christmas, the more times u grabbed it the more presents you got, there presents would contain melees, hats, bombs, yes iera has melees that u actually hold and have different damage and can change, not just a sword thing which u change look with codes

Yes,and donate 20k and you get a hat that makes you invisible.

And for 30k you get a bow that shoots flying pigs.

i was online and as a matter of fact, rufus was the one to anounce that you could throw gralats into the fountain, a swarm of people began throwing gralats into the fountain and minutes later, almost miraculously the fountain grew, into a tower sort, rufus then announced "that was fun to watch :)" and minutes later the foumtain returned back to normal. Quite strange if you ask me.

This fountain is lined with the statues of fallen heroes. Many Graalians offer up a sum of gelats in an attempt to please the slumbering spirits and receive their ancient wisdom.

Does donating contribute to AP? Because it seems like it should count as a good deed.

No sir. It was originally just meant for dumb Graalians to toss gelats in and hope they got smarter.

I think it would be cool if the fountain kept tract of the ammount of gralats you've thrown in.

1 or 2 visible gralats means you have donated < 10
5 through 10 visible gralats means you've donated about 100
20 or so visible gralats means you've donated about 500 gralats
If the bottom of the fountain was full of gralats it means you've donated 1000 gralats
And if there are more visible gralats than water, it means you've donated 2,500 or more gralats
