Helping out when needed.. *Ideas please
 

Since I know I won't ever be hired back on Era iPhone, I decided I'll still help out without being a staff member. The main reason why is because 1. I owe snk.. and 2. Coop is still LAT Admin, therefore it'll look good on his part :P. With that being said, throw out your ideas.. Event ideas, random building ideas, party house etc.. Be specific... Keep in mind, just cause I'm making the levels for it, doesn't mean it'll ever be used.

Some inside levels for the theatre that's locked would be cool. Also pyrotechs outside really should be redone.

You guys should really plan on releasing the theater! I wonder if Stefan ever got it so videos could be played on Era iPhone via the iPod. :O. Any ideas what you want it to look like? A regular theater or something sort of special?

I think I once messed around with playing videos (at least from YouTube) but the GUIs aren't available for the iDevices and they are also very outdated. I don't think that Stefan will add such stuff, we would have to find an other way >:

So as of now the theater would be just for looks? OR when they enter a theater room, sit on a chair, a url pops up that leads to videos on Era iPhones Youtube page :O?

As I said I messed around with showing YouTube videos via GUIs on my iPod which didn't work. But it obviously could be a nice addition by Stefan, or we would have to script the "videos" to display them. Would make it way harder to actually create the videos they would be non-Pausable I gues but could be funny ^^

By the way, what theatre are you actually talking about o,O didn't hear anything about that yet I think

How does the theater loook? Of course, the outside would have to be redone too. The signs and crap are of course temporarily... Since you cannot really do much on the offline editor.

Lol.. If you brighten the room up, add lighting effects to the lights, add a couple more colorful NPCs than it should be set. Right now it is too dark, i agree.

I just posted to show progress.. I think a couple of tables in the middle of the room somewhere would look nice, brighter plants in the staff room, changing the doors so they aren't all the same.. etc

Make one side like the movie theater look and the other door like a play theater.

Maybe some staff can do like some special event play for the holidays?

Like one room can be like a actual Movie Theater another room like a Play where players of era can put on a play. Maybe staff can order a actual play and set it up and get some times for it to play. Movie theater maybe add a video if that can happen?

That's actually sort of a good idea. :P. Haah good job.. Could add some entertainment to Era :).

If this was to get approved, I'll make sure to put a statue of you in the theater.. I really like the idea.

I am looking for the right view point for the theaters but I just get batman pictures...

Before creating anymore levels, I want to know if snk is even willing to have me help iEra.

Wasn't it hosted like 2 times due to different time zones or something like that before they gave up?

It needs some more NPCs to make it more theater liked, but I cannot do it unless someone creates some images for me. xD

Instead of doors, I think I'm going to add stairs so it'll be a two story building.

Yeah, but the lag and everything wasnt easy for them to handle since some were using old ipods to apart of it.

Ohoh.. Even a better idea. The main room "the theater" could also sell the popcorn stand for houses and maybe some other things. :o

Maybe the main room can have that and some that you can eat to give the player hp. Maybe like a secret room for like a popcorn gun?

Maybe instead of videos, like moving npcs talking?

It's weird to fix a previous LAT but... The table on the lower left is wrong, you could make it as two square edged and put 2 chairs in the middle of each diameter. You're red rugs are nice, I would recommend some slight lightning which will make it look better :)
Other than that, it looks awesome, just add some minor details. (yes yes I'm a LAT trainee but I can give my opinion right?)

The positions of the chairs are simply wrong, it would go better in another placement tho.
Check my level below by my meaning of "lighting the rugs". Some of you might not like but that's another style, the script can be easily made in gs1, it's light4.png using drawaslight and seteffect with a low opacity, if you'd like to spice it up add some random() to the alpha or color, but that's better if it was in gs2.


Other than that, I like the way you work with the placement of objects, and your potential.

I was LAT Admin on Era iPhone... If I was to light the rugs up * I already planned on doing so... * I'd use Gs2 since it'd cause less lag on the iPhone server.

The levels that you uploaded as images, I used that as a test for my LATs that I hired. To see how they were with placing NPCs. Your chairs don't look right either. They're sitting on top of each other? Plus your couch is 1 tile away from the wall.. Why not connect it to the wall.

Makes it more easy to clean the dust behind the couch rather than moving it all the time

Too bad no one can actually walk behind it.

I dont like table in the bottom left corner, the red rugs with the dark red spots on them, I feel the entrance door should be a tile down, the borders going up the wall by the garbage & bar, & I don't like how the front desk has a chair for a normal size person, and one for a fat one.

I do like the structure of the room. I find the back with the glass roof very unique.
