Super Paper Mario

The main reason I bought the Wii back in 07 was because of that game.
I played it for hours and its by far the best game I've ever played alongside DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 2&3.
Has anyone ever heard of this game or played it?
What are your opinions?
I find it quite amusing as I played it for 6 years and I've never got bored.

I got to the desert temple. Don't know why I stopped playing.

I don't really like the one for Wii all that much. I don't hate it, but Thousand Year Door is definitely my favourite.

I didnt really like Super Paper Mario. I'm more of a Super Smash Bros. Brawl kinda guy

I lost faith in Nintendo.
I only buy Pokemon, to be honest.
Anyway, I heard they're making a forth Paper Mario for the 3ds.
I won't buy it.

Super Smash Bros Brawl was also quite good, but Super Paper Mario had me laugh sometimes. Like that Francis guy who actually said some interesting true stuff people do like: "I love going on message boards and complain about games I've never played"

super paper mario for the Wii was a huge letdown IMO. Thousand year door for the gamecube is absolutely amazing though, as well as the nintendo 64 paper mario. Wii can run gamecube disks and you can download the nintendo 64 one from the eshop as well :D

brawl was pretty awesome. It was even more amazing for me because I had a brother to play it with!

The turn based games for DS were quite good as well. Superstar Saga (GBA), Partners in Time, Bowsers Inside Story. I of course, have a special place in my heart for Legend of the Seven Stars for SNES. One of the best video games ever made.

I remember having melee parties with my elementary friends and my brothers friends. We did torunaments and the whole shabang. I played tha game more than any game I can remember. GOLDEN DAYS <3

Melee was probably one of my favorite games of all time. Damn, was that fun as hell with friends. I still feel an urge to go back and play Brawl on my Wii, but I sold it a while back. Even if I did get the chance, I'd probably be horrible. SSB really isn't one of those pick-up-and-play games.

Superstar Saga you say? THAT IS THE BEST GAME ON THE GAMEBOY ADVANCE.
I've been playing since 2003.
Partners in Time was a bit harder than Superstar Saga, but it was AMAZING.
Inside Story, never tried it, to be honest.
I'll download the ROM, if I have enough time.
I just downloaded the Superstar Saga Rom and I'm in Oho Beach.

I was pretty frustrated with the partners in time setup. 4 characters having to switch them around constantly to move around the map; it got a bit too annoying. The art style and combat was very nice however.

And I think the best game on GBA was Metroid Zero Mission.

Yeah, the babies were a lust.
What do you think about Bowser's Inside Story?

oh yeah the mario rpg games on the gameboy were amazing, no doubt.

MementoJoker 08-06-2012 02:46 AM

Is the microphone necessary in Bowser's inside story?
As there is a "microphone test" and I'm playing on an Emulator.
DeSmuME to be specific.

I thought it was pretty good, what I played of it anyway. The game style doesn't deviate a whole lot. They are pretty simple RPGs. I think I was just looking with more complexity at the time.

I'm pretty sure there were a few parts in the game where you had to blow into the microphone to make Bowser breathe fire. It's very gimmicky and makes you look like a fool when playing in public.

Unfortunately you will need a microphone to get past these parts. DeSuMe has an enable microphone check box that will work with the emulator. If you don't you would probably have to do some funky Stereo Mix input changing on your system, and somehow get a blowing sound? or white noise or static. It sounds quite ridiculous. You might be better off looking for a save file.
