Didn't someone get 6k hours and 300k kills or something by an illegal account merge. And nobodys doing anything about it?

this issue was handled and resolved already.
why are you bringing up a subject that; 1) has nothing to do with you? and 2) Andrew & Street have already handled it.

2)It was handled. Street & Andrew reset duke's account of all his items, heads, hats, bodies, and his spar was reset. They allowed him to keep the PK's & Hours because thats their right.

all i understand is you're crying over a virtual kill amount. My goal on Era was to reach 100k, and i was one of the first 5 to do so, so i stopped pking.

The matter of dukes account is not your Buisness, there is no special reward for having more Pks then someone else. Like HP said? Street has already dealt with the issue and everything was resolved. Bringing up resolved issues like this can start flame wars. Don't start up flame wars ._.

Ace, think of it this way.. we don't want to completely destroy someones ability to play or willingness to play, we actually want the players to keep playing the game afterall

From the way it looked most of his friends gave him their accounts; however, that is still not allowed. The issue has already been resolved by street so these types of threads are uneccessary.

People should be more careful with their accounts period.
If they're willing to compromise their account, they're willing to risk losing everything. Sorry but thats teh game they decide to play.

That's the problem I have with iEra. They say rules but never enforce them to an actual degree.

For one, graphics stealing and taking credit isn't tolerated. But we will give people credit for some classic hats.

And this, taking other peoples account, friend or not, is not tolerated. But we will allow it for this one guy for whatever reason.

Staff need to stop sending mixed signals and get a permanent set of rules down that apply to everyone, not just the less favored. Because lets be honest, if some no name pulled this they would still be banned.

I am hoping to get Delteria to do this rule thing as well so garbage like this doesn't happen, and no one can call favoritism.

And with that said, I guess I can now go take my friends account correct?

yep, ive said this before, you need a set list of rules, and the catergory of each rule and the time for second offense and multiple offense, would be easy to make a table with it.

glitching offmap (roofs and such) first offense, second offense, multiple offenses
hacking, first offense, second offense, multiple offense,
so on,

We're lenient, I agree - that's because there is no need for further punishments after they have been enforced.

Taking accounts isn't tolerated, if it was favouritism, we wouldn't have touched his account, or Ozzy Magus for that matter. Duke got all his guns from friends / fellow guild members. Besides, Duke didn't actually steal as many accounts or whatever as you seem to think he did z.z

If we reset people, we unban them. No point resetting them and banning them, we want people to come back to the game, not just hang up and go screw this, which you seem to want.

We look into the complete-nobodies cases as much as any other person, stop thinking we're so totally biased. You just seem butt-hurt nowadays Jester.

Wow era is corupt , if this happned on classic theywould be reset and banned.They dont deserve these stats so they get taken away and they broke rules they get a ban.Its the way it should be and why would they only take away a few things.They take away other stupid stuff but keep hours and pks which is players most praised stats.

^^ Losing most of their stuff is a pretty big punishment, we want players to return to the game as I said.
If players decided to keep their account secure, we would have no issues. But unfortunatly the playerbase can't comprehend that.

But isn't it more logical to reset his stats?
If you steal someone's tv, you have to pay a fine, but that doesn't mean you can have the tv... Now duke paid his fine but he got to keep his tv, which doesn't make sense... (hope I explained this in an understandable way lol)

So you don't punish correctly just because you want them to keep playing, that's just selfish

And it's also not good because other people have less reasons to keep playing, like yourself, if everyone just could merge their kills there's not really a use of pking...

Honestly, thinking about it, the way we currently reset, it doesn't actually touch their hours or kills etc, because they are kept somewhere entirely different.
Snk isn't usually involved with the resetting unless there is problems.

I meant that the kills and hours (mostly kills) do need to be reset, and now they aren't touched, just his items...

No no, I mean, our current resetting tool basically deletes all their "flags" if any of you know what they are, kills and hours and stuff don't appear to be stored there so they don't get deleted when we do.

Isn't there a way to do it manually then? I know what you mean, but it is a serious offense...

Personally I don't like touching stuff like that without consulting Snk, I'm not sure what his position is on the matter with hours and kill/death resetting however.

Resetting the entire account, pretty much just eliminates any chances of that player returning to the game, over the course of a games life, this can be extremely detrimental x.x

Well, yes. But it's his own fault, he made a mistake, he has to pay for it. This isn't his first offense, and if you aren't giving punishments for offenses, only more people will merge accounts. If you punish the players who do this, no one will dare to steal accounts.
