A mindset we should abolish

1 Attachment(s)
Girl complaining on Facebook that she hasn't been hired... Then she said this. This is a mindset I hate, people believing they are supposed to be staff as a goal, as a final end to graal. I see stuff like this and I just think.... Why? Why do we still have players like these?.... I'd hope everyone would agree with my reaction...

Pazx 07-13-2012 02:05 AM

omg higbey this doesnt really need a thread.

NCJohn 07-13-2012 02:53 AM

I beat graal then if I consider this girl's mind set.

iHot 07-13-2012 03:26 AM

This is who we need to abolish

Everyone knows Bin right?

MrSimons 07-13-2012 03:50 AM

I honestly hate the mindset of "I needs to be the admin!", that mindset alone should immediately wipe their chances of being staff, it's obviously for selfish purposes and not "I want to help Graal", and we really don't have enough staff with that mindset.

Skill 07-13-2012 04:06 AM

Its funny because I used to be this way, then I randomly applied when the opportunity came up, got hired, then left 3 days later after I realized how bad it was to be an admin.

Seriously, it shouldn't be a goal.

That person is dishonouring the name 'Kiwi.' They probably think of it as a fruit, anyway.

They should be able to think what they want to think, though.

Aeko, that's not how you use that meme! It's used as anger between real life and the game. "You can't tell me what to do mom! You aren't my clan leader!"

Emera 07-13-2012 03:37 PM

There always has been and always will be players who play the game for the sole purpose of being hired to the staff team. There's nothing you can do about it. Good luck trying to "abolish a mindset".

Seems fine to me.

My sole purpose is to become King of Delteria!

Tyler 07-13-2012 04:04 PM

Lol wait until you actually get on the staff. That's when you'll regret it the most.

If you chuckled then they're obviously not that bad. Try positive posting once in a while.

Talon 07-13-2012 06:53 PM

Mmh, the only one that was remotely funny to me was the last one.

iHot 07-13-2012 08:32 PM

I liked the spar one alot.

John 07-13-2012 11:40 PM

Lmao their all funny.

Skill 07-13-2012 11:48 PM

Told you jokingly that something I read on Azraels blog was leaked info, you took it all seriously and told Xor, I got fired. LOL. I was gonna quit anyways, you just did it for me :P

XENA* 07-14-2012 12:16 AM

Lol. Guess she needs to quit.

Thallen 07-19-2012 04:58 AM

Goal in this game is actually to beat me in three consecutive spars.

Wester 07-20-2012 01:01 PM

After she said that, she "won't complete the game", as no one that says "hire me" gets hired..

pcNello 07-25-2012 07:14 PM

staff using boots, drag, unreleased npc's. and generally things your standard player can't do will only promote the mindset that being staff is just another level of having fun.

it's always been that way on graal and the only way to stop it is to log everything, and enforce strict rules on every staff member. removing any rights or staff tools they don't need.

running around max boot speed on the overworld, dragging players and shaking them needlessly, sitting on rooftops. it all seems pretty fun. the more you do it and the more players see you do it the more it enforces the bad mindset.

...then I randomly applied...

Misuse of the word randomly needs to be "abolished".

Talon 07-25-2012 09:53 PM

I hate when people say "literally" in that context too. As in, 'I literally filled out an application.' How the hell else are you going to fill out an application? Metaphorically? Symbolically? Yeah, I metaphorically filled out that application.

I know right? It's not random if you thought about it before you said or did it. It's not like if he was hiking a mountain in Colorado and then without noticing he rolled a die to decide where to submit and then submitted a application.

Godoco 07-25-2012 10:50 PM

Being staff isn't a big deal, unless you enjoy dragging people on buildings, giving out hats, and working ALOT.

Some people enjoy helping.

SnakeRekon 07-26-2012 12:08 PM

It's pretty good experience for working and being patient with people :p

Admiral 07-26-2012 06:52 PM

Im sure we were all like this once, first time you saw an admin with their gold names and being treating like celebrities etc. Its because they only see the good side to being an admin.

A current admin needs to show how hard is it to be admin, the fact your required to work, deal with a variety of problems, and not even get paid for it!

The best mindset: "Eh, I think Graalonline deserves my talents and superior knowledge. I feel pretty bored." The truth is, being extremely cocky, apathetic and just a plain jerk is the key to becoming a staff member on any graalonline server. :D I hope you have enjoyed my guide. Please +rep me. /sarcasm
