GraalOnline iPhone Versions - The Sky

I recently noticed that the iPhone Servers (i don't know about others) do not have a visible sky. Would this mean that it is a skyless world, or does it have a sky we can not see?

Post your thoughts on this!

Jester Lapse 07-09-2012 05:35 AM

or we just have a godlike view and we are the sky...

That is possible. Again, just looking for people's thoughts.

This I am unsure of. Classic also had rain in Swamp on the Facebook server. Rain was maybe something that came from the top of your screen meaning rain went sideways.

The sprinklers.

That too.

The magic crystals would have to generate the rain somewhere though. It can't form at the crystal and fall from... what would you call a debatable sky?

I am starting to think that we should create a word for the unknown above area of Graal, in which we can not call the sky due to it being up for debate.

Talon 07-09-2012 05:51 AM

Nice.

Damn, you stole my post space.

I don't think there is a possible way to display the sky on a 2d game, but because of the weather I think so.

This is quite true, but I think there needs to be one word that everyone can agree on meaning "the undefined space above Graal'.

DragonRider 07-09-2012 06:08 AM

Maybe the camera is below the clouds.

Let's call it "TUSAG"

Another possibility. I like this debate. There are so many possibilities explaining the debatable space above Graal.

Great Idea! Let The Undefined Space Above Graal be known as Tusag!

I assume it's like ours as when you check angel clan you find it's a giant magical cloud, meaning they know and have clouds, also if you go to the classic wedding area in the sky, or classic heaven, you see you are in a floating platform in the blue sky with clouds...

Talon 07-09-2012 07:03 AM

... And thus, Tusag was canonized.

Higbey 07-09-2012 07:19 AM

Also seeing as we suffer fog in some areas we must have clouds above the camera.. It appears graal has a darker blue sky, perhaps graal has less atmosphere as it has less mass than earth, if you equate the tiles to be a square foot each. And look at the amount of tiles in the gmaps dimensions you can see its much smaller than the earth, although I don't know, the map doesn't wrap around, do we don't know if theres supposed to be more to the planet outside of graals gmap.

Rufus 07-09-2012 07:22 AM

Doesn't the sea reflect the sky irl or is that a lie that I was told when I was a kid and never found out the truth? If so, our waters are blue and must be reflecting a sky!

Talon 07-09-2012 07:22 AM

Okay, Higbey. No need to overthink things lol. Tusag is unknown, and shall stay that way until proven otherwise.

Nope, the sky is blue because it is the first color in the color spectrum to not be broken by the angle of the sun's rays. That's why we have sunsets and such phenomena.

No, it's actually the nature of water to be blue, the reflection of the sky can help make it appear bluer though, the natural color of water is blue-turquoise in unfiltered conditions, water is only slightly tinted meaning it takes thick amount of water for the light bouncing through it to be affected enough to be visible,

The compounds and particles in the water also affect the color, and the reflection of the sky has a minor impact on the water, as the skys coloration has on most reflective surfaces.

Wafers 07-09-2012 08:40 AM

Higbey is right. Graal must have to have a sky. The detention of sky is "region of the atmosphere and outer space seem from earth" We have to have an atmosphere for survival, therefore there must be a sky, we just can not see it.

Maybe it's the ****ing sky.

Or the screen, if you wanna play that way.

Peter5498 2nd 07-09-2012 05:58 PM

Worlds Connected has clouds.

callimuc 07-09-2012 06:03 PM

Not sure, but did you realize that Graal isn't 3D and kind of a topview game? Might explain a lot

Dusty 07-09-2012 06:06 PM

Is this a joke?

Wafers 07-09-2012 06:11 PM

Higbey is completely correct, with proof to back up his theory. Graal does have a sky.

MrSimons 07-09-2012 06:24 PM

Now we must answer the question, is Graal a flat world or a globe?

Technically that is easy to answer: Graal is a flat world. GMAP format does not allow of looping worlds, thus it can not be spherical.
