I figured out a cool trick to make your guild picture animated. To do this, you need an animated GIF. I choose one of a water balloon hitting a man's face. Next, download it to your computer. Resize the image so it work with the gang pic, and then save it. Now, you remove the extension .gif from it and make the .gif extension .jpeg. You're done! Upload the file via facebook graal era to your gang and wait. If it says the file type doesn't work, please make sure the file is .jpeg. If it says the file is too big, then make it smaller. To put your gang picture in your status, write this into your status:
PM me in game. I want to see your GIFs!

Sometimes you have to log out of your facebook account and log into your iPod account to make it work.

So, browse to the photo, wait 20 seconds, log out of facebook, log into your iPod, and look at your gang pic.

where can I change the extension? I just did save as and picked jpeg on paint but I doubt that worked.

You have to save the image as an animated .gif and rename the extension to .jpeg on your deskop. You can do this on Windows by right clicking a file, pressing rename, and make the extension .jpeg

That just lets me rename the picture not the extension :s

Uh Shawn, it still doesn't work.

OK well I renamed the extension and everything but its still not showing up animated, its just a still image like it would be with a jpeg :p

Uploading it as a .gif should work fine.

It does in Classic FB, and has the same delay time like if you posted it as .jpeg, and have to look on your iDevice to verify it updated. Maybe there's just something wrong with your file/file size?

Also, try to resize it in GIMP (because paint.net doesn't work and GIMP works well with editing photos). To do this, go to the image menu, press scale, and make it smaller to fit. Then, export the image in file>export and press save. On the next screen, make sure you have save as animation to make it work. Then, rename the extension and stuff.

Can you tell us the dimensions of the gang pic? :D

For me when I upload it as my gang pic it keeps showing it as a still image.

Do you have animations off in the settings?

It works just fine, upload a smaller gif or test it with a dancing banana (PS: on the Facebook version of Era, you cannot see it directly, open your iOS device to view it or refresh the page)

Yea. Facebook shows the dancing KFC guy still but it's on the water balloon to the face animation.

It works for me when I open up the GIF in google chrome but it doesn't work when I upload it to Facebook Era

Upload a different pic with less frames.

what's the gang pic size?

Use any size, it will resize automoticwlly, just use something small, not bigger than 1-3mb

I prefer to use something around 125x125 but I think john's right.
