Pets - Any suggestions
 

Lately I have been starting to do my pets again on iEra. Yet I am not sure what else I should add to them. Maybe some of you guys got any ideas besides the ones I had so far which could make the pets even more funny.

If you post some suggestions please check if it has already been suggested or not to reduce the spam of the thread.

I'm looking forward to see the suggestions. The best, not that common idea (not like it should die if you don't pet it) will get a little reward as soon as the pet's will be released.

Perhaps tapping on them should bring up a speech bubble over their heads, and inside the bubble could be a list of emoticons that make the pet smile, cry and stuff.

Make it preform tricks and enter competitions for money.

They can pick up ammo for you on the map.

Birds can fly warp you to predestined locations.

Specific animals help with jobs. Example: a mole helps with mining, a dog helps digging shells, etc. They could provide a minimal boost.

Reactions: dogs scare cats, cats scare birds, etc.

Animals could have a slow special attack.

Stages of life: Dog: puppy, adult.

Climb on your back, Make them you're pack mule (carry your stuff), follow you, maybe even ride them? idk

A feature to name your own pet, sort of a name tag i guess :]. Then you could add a chat command to call your own pet.

This might sound a bit too much but you could perhaps have each type of pets with different tricks and skills. Once I saw the monkey in the picture, an idea instantly pops up to my mind that they could throw grenades and put gases. Maybe put a limit on it so you can only do once for each 10 or 20 minutes.

Some ideas:

The pets are sold at a pet store, and you can buy them.
You also have to buy a cage for each pet.
If you sell dogs or cats, graalians can also buy a leash to walk their pet.
In the pet store is food for each pet.
The pets have levels, the highest level is 10.
Every level, you have to feed it a certain amount before the next level.
Besides feeding, taking out the animal for walks or teaching it new tricks helps it gain XP to become a higher level.
The higher level it is, the longer you can take it out for a walk, and the less you have to feed it.
You can let your pet interact with other graalians' pets.
If its an animal such as a horse, pig, ape, or llama, the pet will take you anywhere. You open the map, and click to a certain spot. The animal will be as fast as a skateboard, and will take you to that certain area.
You can have only a certain amount of each pet.

Make the pets make sounds and the monkeys fling poop :P

EDIT: Your pet dies if you don't take care of it.

I like the idea of certain pets helping you with jobs like you could have a dog dig shells for you or and like another pet gather mushrooms/trash :p.

Maybe robot versions of the previously mentioned pets. They should also be customizable, for a sense of uniqueness.

shouldnt have to buy the pets. adopt them or catch them.

Tap on your pet. After that a menu pops out with the following: Scratch, Sit, Play Dead (don't know about that), Follow, Hide (yes, hide the pet).

Maybe train?

And also the pet should be able to show moods every time you use the glove button on them.

Pets should be able to find items while walking like:

[Insert pet name here] has found x1 donuts!

Also being able to name the pet and re-name it.

Your pet should walk in the back of you (just like pokemom heartgold and soulsilver)

Oh! and your pet should have a bar (just like the bar that shows your gangster or a cop) but shows their happiness level from 1-100. (this will also show after using the glove button on your pet.

Attack people, pick up items

Here's my idea:
Players can scratch/pet the pet. When the pet is scratched it has the ability to level up.(So many scratches to level up) When the pet levels up it unlocks new features. Such as new accessories etc. Also if you don't feed your pet or take care of it, it will start to weeken and a health bar would show how weak it is. Than if you feed it and take care of it that health bar would increase depending on how long you do this. Also I think you should be able to train your pet(how many tricks he does right he levels up) every time he levels up he learns a new trick.

Edit: Players can only scratch the pet once a day

They can go inside bases with you

Pets do a certain trick related to what u feed them. Feed them a halopeno, they turn
into a fireball and can kill other graalians or just do a trick. Feed them bubble gum, they blow a bubble and fly up and come back down. You should alsobe able to clean your pet...i.e shower

Should be able to unleash your pet in your house. So you can make your pet follow you or leave it in your house.

Pets heal you 25 HP if you are walking them and you make them happy.

#2) How many different pets do you have so far, and which are they?

make them follow you.
When you dig shells they pick all of them up if you buy something for it called "Shell Magnet".

Also here are more ideas:

When you buy the pet, you can buy it in different colors.

Make some pets limited time offers, such as a reindeers in the winter, and dragons in the summer, etc.

New house types dedicated to pets (such as a dog themed house if you have a pet dog, a fish themed house if you have a pet fish, a cat themed house if you have a cat, etc.)


After awhile, maybe 3-4 months, the pet has babies. Then after 5-7 months, the pet dies. The babies look exactly like the parent, and the amount of babies it has depends on what level the parent is, and how good you treated it.

2) I temporary got a rabbit, monkey, pinecone and an elephant. Yet the monkey is the only one being worked on. Will have to see with the others but yet I am not taking any suggestions for the sort of animals or graphics.

How about you can use the pets for show and not any of these ideas? JK...
How about you can customize how the pet looks for lets say 2,500 gralats or $1.00. For those gralats or that dollar, you automatically forever always have the option to change the color of the pet and change what it is wearing. You can also buy special clothing for your pets at a pet shop on graal. And for MSM's idea of having a cage for the pet, for a dog you should be able to buy a doghouse to let the dog stay outside in.

EDIT: Oh and sorry Psycher!, I was skimming through the posts quickly and didn't see you posted something about being able to customize the pets.

I think they should be able to do tricks like a bunch of other people said. And the idea of taking care of them instead of them being immortal would be a good idea. I mean really, a dog that doesn't die? What is this, graalonl- oh wait, it is...

I think pets should be immortal. Or, make them require few criteria to stay healthy. Some of us have to do jobs, etc.

Hmmm... Yeah I guess your right.

I also got a good idea. Unlike what most people want, don't make it so pets help in pk. Instead, make a dogfighting arena where you can pit your pet against someone else's. Or, if dogfights are something that might not be appropriate, just make it a pet spar. Also, if random matchups in a spar aren't some people's style, you could designate areas where you can directly challenge someone. Lol pokémon-ish, but it'd be fun!

Ability to bark away crabs and rabbid cronos and/or kill them.

You should be able to take your pet anywhere and maybe your pet can pick up some items randomly off the floor when you walk it like two burgers or something else
