iClassic iTunes Scam - Seriously guys?
 

I have seen numerous players in the center of Graal City asking for iTunes accounts. I mean, seriously?! First there was: "Rate my GP", "PM me pics", "Lets chat on kik" ect. But really now? iTunes account begging? This is an actual quote from one of the beggers: "Can anyone please give me thier iTunes account password? I promise I wont overpay it!" This is very obvious, first off, who is dumb enough to fall for this obvious scam? It's really just stupid in my opinion. If any of you have seen these types of 'noobs' before, or see them, I reccomend reporting them. And as for GP, I reccomend banning these scammers instantly. I've seen many, and I dont think the GP's are doing a great job punishing these players. If any of you have experiences, or related comments about this, post them. :-) (no rude comments, or 'facepalm' comments allowed, I'm quite disturbed of this scam, and I want you fellow Graalians to take it maturely and calmly.)

Report, click, send, boom done. All the GP's have to do is warn or ban. Not that difficult. If they're not responding to these reports then they need some new GP's.

Same reaction I had. Pretty pathectic really.

Ban time should be month and IP ban? Whatever ban is used it should be harsh, these people aren't benefiting the game by existing in Graal and can cause problems nobody wants.

I'm sure GPs wouldn't hesitate to ban players doing this. Just keep doing what you're doing with reporting them.

I've seen people scam for Gralat but not iTunes before, unless you count those guilds (Graal) that supposedly give out iTunes cards.

They really do need new ones. One of the beggers remains unbanned even after being reported 5 times by by-passers. :-P

Yeah, they need to be more selective in who they pick by their maturity, work ethic, online working hours, etc. I've been seeing some not too impressive one's.

:/ im not a firm believer in reporting. i know staff read EVERYTHING that goes thru report n feedback, but i never see anything happen so report n feedback might as well go to the trash directly

Staff often check both feedback and reports.

If they do ask for it, report and thats all you can do. Since I'm sure no one is dumb enough to fool for that.

Its called begging. There will always be beggars and no end to it. I get all my Gralats free from stuff like swag bucks and topline by doing simple browsing. I gotten over 500k :)

This doesn't surprise me. I once got on a guy's case for advertising FaceTime sex in Graal City.

When I see things like this, it makes me more and more convinced that many people who play Graal aren't looking to actually play a game, they're looking to either a) use Graal primarily as a social network (possibly as a substitute for real life, which is sad) or b) use Graal to scam people or e-beg.

I guess this kind of thing happens in most online games (when I used to play WoW I encountered a guy whose name was literally "ineedgold"), but the frequency of which it seems to occur on Graal is kind of worrying.

This is sad. They ban you for a month for saying you are a free farmer even though they have no proof you're scamming, but they cant ban someone asking for account information? Got banned because I was bored and wanted to farm QQ

What's sad is you continue to make general assumptions but present them as facts. I'd love to see the reason, "Banned for offering free farming". Go sit in the corner with Higbey.

They get warned/banned depending on a number of factors but it will be either of the two options. In an online game, there's no way to instantly react to everything that players say. To do so would require ridiculous manpower and a lot of logging/filters. That just ain't cool.

So they have the current system: report and move on.

Are you surprised, you looking at a player base of 10 year olds who are relying on mommy for all their cash, I don't blame them.

I got a pm from a staff member once saying that several people had reported me over a short period of time. Turn's out it was either because I wouldn't make them a free head, give them my shield/sword code or I was pk'ing at their fort

lol what people report for is ridiculous. Having dealt with reports before I'll let you know about half the reports I got were for using bad language, then when I get there its a bunch of friends having a good time and they say nothing is wrong... honestly, why would you report someone for bad language if you don't mind it and they are your friend? In addition people spam reports endlessly. once some guy reportedthe same guy every 20 seconds for scamming him a purple gralat. I told him I can't do anything to the guy or compensate him but I gave him tips to preventing getting scammed again and talked to the guy who he said scammed him. He kept going making dealing with other reports impossible despite me telling him to stop spamming, and I had to ban him since there's no report ban like feedback :/

tl;dr: don't report if you don't care, and don't report more than once if action is taken.

Well, I've heard a lot of rumors that staff are banning people just based on reports, so I'm glad to hear that Higbey's ranting isn't true and that this isn't the case! :D

Strange... I didn't encounter anything like this along Graal town... o.e

And i don't know if anybody else said this or if it relates to the iClassic scamming but some people are also saying "Found" in the middle of graal town o.O this happened a couple of times..

This happens a couple of times, especially when hide-n-seek was not broadcasted..
