Keyblade/dagger thingy I made
 

Hey guys,

after reading Infernus Lapse Thread about a Key weapon, I felt like making this. (don't ask me why lol)
Just started at gfxing, so don't be too mean on criticing. :D
Would be nice if it was added to the game, but I don't think it'll happen. :shy:

It's a key. A KEY. Also there's no chain at the end so it isn't completely copied! :)

Regarding the copyright issue, if lightsaber is allowed, I don't see any reason why this shouldn't be. :)

its not copyright infringement. HE made the the keyblade, pixel by pixel in an editing program, he did not steal anything. You can't copyright an idea.

The last thing i want is for the keyblade to be sold for gralats. I hate it when i have something i love but its not special, its just commonplace for noobs.

Nice one but like Jester said, it needs to be shaded better.

I noticed that you used pure black. Pure black and white cannot be seen (transparent) in-game.

Ima do the glider and the complete oathkeeper and oblivion sprites tomorrow. :P
It would be awesome if the glider could use the eggshot animation! :)

I also think I'll make the kingdom key as sword sprite too. (it's ok as dagger, it's just a bit short)
And i can only make sword sprites for oathkeeper and oblivion, because their sprite isn't so simple as kingdom key, they're bigger and they need to be longer.

He plans to either make or find someone who will make a new gani, dylan. Do you know how difficult that is and if hes successful how game changing it could be if its approved? Whats there to have except very high expectations. And honestly, if you go in depth, just think about having a keyblade that can execute combos and such in game. Thatd make era 5x more fun. Now should snk see this, its no doubt pearl will be hired with all this work that will probably go into it.

To make a gani you first need the corresponding frames of the sword. The frames he has posted aren't enough to make a smooth animation.

As I said I made a new kind of spritesheet and I don't want it to be stolen. :P
The one's here are just made for fun, as my title says hobby gfxer.

GFXer's are graphic designers/graphic artists, which use photos, add effects, use tools and different brushes with different techniques in order to get what they want.

If you're talking about pixel art then the only tool you should use is the pencil tool and fill bucket.

Filters, effects, brushes **** up pixel art and should never be used.
