But anyways, not to be a douche: I respect the Xbox 360 but the bonus things you have to purchase on top of it just to get the experience makes it hard to enjoy the Xbox 360

And im not gonna lie: The kinect looks fun c: So ill give microsoft credit where its due. However, the kinect is not at its full potential so theres poor detection of movement in these upcoming hardcore games

Xbox. I hate the PS3 controls and the Xbox has some awesome games that aren't on the PS3.

Compared to the playstation move, which didnt even attempt to differentiate from the wii and putt a ball ontop of a nunchuk and painted it black? And what bonus material? I use my kinecf alot and hve 0 problems.

Xbox. Sony should stick to making **** speakers.

They make good tvs too, ironicly my xbox is hooked up to a 50" inch sony flat screen.

Better hardware: PS3. No competition.
Better games: Xbox, but not by a lot. PS3 is starting to reach the limit as to how much they can milk out of series' like Ratchet and Clank.
Better online: Xbox would be better than PS3 if it was free.

I laughed at this, it's almost like you said Microsoft was making consoles before Sony!

I've had mine for over three years and have never gotten the red ring of death. I think people don't tell the full story when they get it. Maybe they leave their Xbox on too much or play too long.

First off, the PS move is plastic garbage. At that time, Sony gave up on it (I hope) and decided to go back to old-style controller gameplay.

Second, you need to purchase XBL Gold every year. I don't care what the damn price is: I shouldn't place more money on what i purchased as a full console itself. Online service should be both good and free. Having to pay for what makes half of the console makes the xbox experience utter garbage when you're stuck with a silver account. You can't have xbox without online. It doesn't work.

Heres an example: How would you like it if you bought a wii but it costs you a yearly subscription to use the wii remote or to play the virtual console games you purchased?

Xbox Live Silver should have online gameplay and Xbox Live Gold should have exclusive features that compliments on top of the Xbox Live service like Playstation plus. for PS Plus you get:

-Free games
-Free 60 minute in-game trials
-Discounts
-Access to Betas and other exclusive content

But for Xbox Live Gold you get:

-Internet Connection for Xbox 360 games (Which should have been entirely free from the start, especially for XBL silver members)

-Dumbed down applications of services you can access on your computer (for PS3 its free but for Xbox, you need a gold subscription for this. Plus, theres an extra subscription fee for the services on top of that... What!?)

-Video Cam (Something you prefer much doing on an ordinary computer)

-Early access to betas, demos, discounts, etc. (something of which playstation plus already does plus adds more free content upon that [DLC and full games] for a lower price)

And don't tell me is because they got a greater service. Thats what you should expect from every next-generation console. Hell, the PS3's internet is very good and so far within the first half of the year, i experienced no crashes.

Third, from titles like Sonic Free Riders and Star Wars Kinect: The kinect isn't at its full potential at the moment. The only game that it strucks perfectly against are the launch titles and the dance games (Thats what im seeing at the moment). This is due to the required spacing needed for the Kinect in order to play certain games. To be honest, Its best played in a living room.

Overall I enjoy my PS3 (actually PC, but this is about consoles) the most out of all of my gaming systems.

Better hardware: PS3.
Better games: Neither, both have their brand-only games that are awesome. You like Halo, I like Resistance. You like Gears of War, I like Killzone.
Better online: Neither, both have their ups and downs. Lag appears on both just like host migrations.

Anyone who wants to claim one is better than the other is an idiot or just ignorant.

Maikeru, my PS Move is very responsive, and I had no problems with it (unlike my Wii) in the few games I played. Same thing for my Kinect. You can't compare the two since it's two different types of gaming and detection.

3DS and Wii<3

PlayStation:
- Better Hardware (Don't believe me? Go look at specifications from Sony website vs Microsoft website)
- Online Gaming at no extra charge

Xbox:
- Better Controller (Honestly, I like it better.)
- Can use private voice chats to other users whilst in a game.


Also, for those who bring up the whole "omg ps3 b so ez 2 hax lyk omg"
The Sony Network was exploited by Lulzsec, a division of Anonymous. For those who don't know, Anonymous is the largest hacking group in the world. They were hacked because Sony had brought some of Anonymous' top hackers into court over the "PS3 Jailbreak," including those such as GeoHot.
Learn the facts for who did what and why they did it. I'm pretty sure Xbox would've suffered near the same downtime if they were assaulted by Anonymous.

I like the PS3 better, and it's free to play online.

I play the xbox and will stick with xbox for a long time!

Sometimes i wish i had the ps3 so i can play games like littlebigplanet,Uncharted and other games

I dont like the controls that much for the ps3 if i were to be playing say Call of duty
I find the xbox controls alot more comfortable and easier

I still wonder why people prefer the Xbox controllers to the PS controllers. Xbox seems unnecessarily big and chunky in my opinion.

In my opinion, its the analog stick
The playstation analog stick feels weird and has a odd texture on the top
The xbox 360 analog stick feels better and puts your finger in place of the analog stick so it won't feel like your finger's gonna slip off

Basically, its the feel of the controller and in my opinion, Microsoft does it best

I don't know if this is for all the new Xbox remotes, but the analog on it had sharper bumps on it and it felt really uncomfortable. The controller was also squeaky as hell with the analog stick. I ended up taking the whole thing apart and replacing the parts with my old controller.

Can I just point out the fact that you can get either size for both systems? :rolleyes:

Bc, the ps controllers are so tiny its like holding a gum wrapper.

The reason why i like the xbox 360 controler is because its comfortable, fits my hand nice (thats what she said) and i like the uhm......what do u call it...i forget.......the triggers :)

I like the bigger Xbox controller because the PS3 controller just feels way too small. I do prefer the PS3's analog sticks too - I like the convex (outward facing) surface more than concave. I bought convex FPS Freeks to counter this.

Anyhow, I'll list off my reasons I prefer Xbox.

- Halo Franchise (My favorite gaming series since Counter Strike, basically the only game I play now).

- Friends. All of my friends have Xboxes for whatever reason - none of my friends have PS3's - if they did, I would have one. I can't play by myself, it just isn't fun.

i like my ps3. its a very good blu-ray player and a good media streamer (tversity) and i like that i don't have to pay monthly to play games i already bought online. thats a big plus

Im guesssing you dont own one or the other one. Its a magical phenomenon that happens when you buy one because your like OMFG THISIS AMAZINGGGGG . Why would anybody ever want a [insert rival console] ever.

I have both. I just don't see why people make a big deal out of the controllers. Consoles have been around for over 2 decades, with ever-changing controllers; they should be used to having to use different ones. I mean ya sure I guess people have their preferences, but I never found one much more worse off than the other.

I've used both before, but I own neither. In my limited experience, I prefer PS3. It just feels better to be (and I don't mean the controls). Then again, I've used PS3s more, so...

I have Half Life 2 from the Orange Box.

Xbox is making money from our 60$ dollars a year memberships and putting it towards the future while PS3 try's to make better consoles without much money. Solution: Make PS3 users pay online.

That would be pretty damn dumb. The only thing PS3 had going for a long time was 1) a few exclusive titles and 2) free online. In fact, probably the only reason justifying having a PS3 when it was so much more expensive than it is now was the fact the online play was free. They know it, too. PS3 probably would have been a massive flop if you had to pay for online as well. Now it has some competitive pricing where they can probably experiment with stuff like that, but it's way too late down the road and they'd just piss off the fanbase that kept them in the console race.

PS3. They don't make you pay a fee just to own an account. :blush:
