Hey Graalians,
I am pretty new at LAT only bin training for like 1-2 months... so these past weeks, our beloved XENA and Snake Reckon has pushed me to show Coop or either the World my LAT... So pretty basic im still a noob and you have all the rights to say its terrible, but I said maybe I get some comments that will tell me how to improve? Thanks! these are some few pictures I have many others but I see those are the most weird and terrible I made, so i would like to know what to add and what to remove =D Goin for LAT soon : here are the pics, please dont go too hard on me X.X http://s7.postimage.org/ox0haae2z/i_Eramap1.png outside of a base/house similar to bbz ^ all of them are still missing npc's and imgs since I need to access iEra Dev to get them http://s18.postimage.org/y8pafbs09/i_Eramap2.png http://s7.postimage.org/j3vh6u8qz/i_Eramap3.png http://s18.postimage.org/pk78sjv61/i_Eramap4.png http://s17.postimage.org/hmctqza6n/i_Eramap5.png http://s16.postimage.org/d9ea8mtqt/i_Eramap6.png http://s16.postimage.org/g7fug2qs5/i_Eramap7.png Okay guys! well I know how good work doe Coop since each time I enter a map I see like crazy good things... Well my work is a start I guess :) Leave a comment please I only send the nw files to Administrator with of course trivia, rush, race, gmap road... Hope you guys can help me! :D -Johnaudi Oh also btw, half those maps use era PC tile maps.. others are PS: for the people who cannot see the images, visit those : |
I like your mansion. Here's some advice, don't overuse the light because it kinda distracts from the rest of the level

Great work.
Not much to criticise except from your unusual use of shadows. Before adding in darker patches to your flooring you have to decide on where the light source is and take into account of the height of any of the level's objects/furniture/walls. Your third level is the best example of this. There are also a few minor problems, but I doubt having me highlight them will help. I'll message David K to have a look through your work and spot for any problems, it would most probably help. |

hah, you don't upload an application on the forums, lol

many other's have done the same. you can leave now. great work! |
No, if you read the title, you will notice it says LAT Form. I'm not criticizing them, i'm simply stating that it is foolish to apply for a position on a forum.
|
EXTREMELY WELL DONE :)
|
I like it, except you used the same flooring for a lot of the levels. I have found many different floor styles, even ones that aren't used as floor tiles. Try to work on that and walls a bit, but i like them. And remember, the level looks odd if it has no back wall.
|
|
It is called a tile error <3
|
You happy?
|
Good work man! Keep it up (soz i'm not a LAT pro can't give you any good advice... lol).
@Darknight: Hmmm excuse me but if you saw old thread WDM clearly sais to post your levels on graalians. Posting them here is a way to show your work to admins/players and i see nothing wrong with it. |
your elevator
http://i.imgur.com/5BQet.png Would be better than having it look like there is no depth Should probably do something similar for rest of the room cause it looks rather silly :) |

@everyone else Thanks! And where is the tile error? :0 |
You don't have to turn it into Red as such, it was just an example of how you can add depth, you don't need to use them

No chimney on your last level please. That's really my only criticism. Everything else looks good. Your levels are pretty basic though, which is understandable since they're house levels. BUt try some other levels too, where you can add thigns like furniture, or plants. Well-placed details like that add a little bit of flare to your levels, and shows the people what you can do. :) Good work though.
|
It may be easier to do it without depth, but it doesn't half look butt ugly if you do it that way lol, sometimes you can get away with it, others not so much

EDIT: I downloaded the img NPC of iera, I'll add furniture and saying it again : It's not completely done to add furnitures and stuff Quote:
|
Hah, alright.. we'll see how they turn out
|
Quote:
|
Naw, usually you just make it built into the wall lol
there are switches you can find though |
Quote:
|
Na xD
Just do stuff for decoration for now, if you actually get made a LAT scripts and stuff are easy to find |

Hello, here is a list of the errors I found in your levels and what could worked on. Hope this helps.
Your inside levels * I found that your floor designs were quite forced(shown best in the last picture). Floor designs should seem nature and look pleasant to the eye. * This goes the same with your levels walls. There is no need for your walls to twist and turn that much within a room. Instead, I suggest to keep your walls and level layouts more simplified. * In picture 4, a door is missing a borders. * In picture 4 as well, the stair case could use a borders. The white line should be found on the outside part of the wall facing the stairs-case. * in picture 2, the small table should be moved down one tile. When placing a table against the bottom of a wall, the legs of the table should never show. Overall, I found that your inside levels aren't half bad. Your levels layouts are interesting, but could use less jagged and complex wall structure. After obtaining more graphics, your levels will look much nicer. Just scan era pc's levels to obtain graphics. :) Your outside levels * In picture 1, the three tiles you use do not flow well together. Try and find a way to make them all flow. This could be done by rearranging those tiles or using a different tile perhaps and switching it out with a current tile. * In picture 1 as well, you should not use the tile you are using as a pathway leading away from your house. I suggest using the sidewalk tiles. * In picture 5, the building could be more symmetrical. both sides of the building should match. (I do not suggest this will all buildings) * both levels could use door boarders. * the roof in picture 5 is missing the corner tiles that connect the rest of the pieces together. Overall, i found that the first building isn't the most aesthetically pleasing. This can be changed by playing around with the current tiles and rearranging them into a better layout. The second building is actually quite interesting. After a few minor changes the building could look pretty nice. Keep up the good work. :) You have lots of potential, and after making a few changes, you will see huge improvements! |

Why would there be grass on a building? Its ok we all make misteakes. we are human.
|
You never hear of moss and stuff growing on brick work?
Nothing wrong with what he did. |
Well it's not anywhere else on the building, so it looks odd.
