Melee Item - Katana
 

Hey everyone,

You may have noticed that your Katana item has been removed, the reason it was removed is because you purchased it for nothing.

The system only checked if you had 35 or more Event Coins, it never removed any Event Coins from your items.

I'll also be doing a log for the Scimitar too, as this also had the same problem.

I'm sorry for any problems this has caused. However, you did have it free for a while.

aha I doubt this will go down well. However I'm sure it was expected by many when no Event coins were taken from their balance.

hold on! My 7 month goal was to buy katana! i bought it and my ec wasnt removed! THIS IS NOT MY FAULT! so i ended up also buying bamboo rod with my extra ec... i always wanted katana, i didnt care much for bamboo rod... so i was wondering if u can give me my katana back and just take away my bamboo rod....thx.

Yeah! U should give some Poeple a chance to trade an equal amount of 35 ecs to get their katanas back. Also, some people lost 40 ec instead of 35...

The only way to receive the "free katana" is if a player purchases it first with 35 event coins. After the purchase, the event coins stay in the player's inventory. Because the player wanted the katana first, he or she should be able to keep it and lose 35 event coins or the item bought after the katana. What? You say we should've kept the ecs and report it to an admin? Well, not all players are playing to improve the game, nor are we obligated to. For an average player, the 35 event coins are a pleasant surprise. Why would we want to turn down free stuff or prevent other players from enjoying it too? The Graal Era Staff Team is a group of smart people; they should be able to fix this without angering the many players who wanted the katana first.

You should have reported this when it happened....

unsubbed-dont wanna read people crying. If you noticed the ec weren't gone when you got katana you should have reported it rather than getting another item as well. your loss for not doing the right thing

If you haven't been directly affected by this, you don't know how it hurts... Many players won events specifically to purchase the katana and saw the extra ecs as a bonus. It's frustrating when you lose your favorite weapon and several months of work in a heartbeat.

Imagine all of those ecs taken away, and your next 29 event coins lost as well...

Thats pretty much bullcrap, they earn't that ec to buy it so they should be able to keep it, 35 event coins, might aswell make it free if your going to take them away...

I never owned the katana so I don't really know how to respond to this.

The katana was the most fun melee I owned... The side button let me mess around with it as much as I wanted and it looked cool! Not only was it fun... It was super strong and fast. I specifically made this graalians account to protest about the katana, that's how much it meant to me.

Haha I feel like the only person with a katana! I got mine in a auction for 23k like 8months ago.

I made the Scimitar the same as the Katana, so that was free too. Since the Katana effected quite a few players (roughly 200 from the logs) I won't be removing the Scimitar if players had that too.

Is there anything that can be done about this? Many players only wanted the katana. And, on the day the katana was removed, I asked G187 if we would get our katanas back and he said, "ya" but now the chances of this happening seem slim...
