Aside from this post not fitting the board it was created on:
"General Graal Discussion (2 Viewing)
Graal-related discussions that don't have a place elsewhere."

and not "Off-Topic Chat" where it probably should be.

Your mother has done this most likely to help you do well. Whether you feel you need it or not, it is probably helping.

You know, kids that have parents that don't care about them, at all, do the exact same thing... They even get to do whatever they want, or get kicked out.
Not sure you should be happy about that lol.. Unless you are overall a good kid.

Which brings me to the next question, why are there never threads saying "Kids sometimes..."

Toked PC IPad and iPhone for eating a muffin at my bed!

Skyzer 04-17-2012 06:08 PM

After I got into high school my parents started letting my sisters and I be more independent. While living with my parents from high school to my first year of college, I had no problems with them. It was pretty much, "You can do whatever you want as long as you're safe, getting good grades, and coming home timely every night."

Then it's your fault. She has the right to take it away from you, because you weren't listening to her.

They are not strict-I just ace every quiz and test so I need to set a challenge point..

LavaClaw 04-18-2012 05:53 AM

As long as I bought it, I don't get it taken away. They don't have the right :p
Oh the benefits of having a job.

DragonRider 04-18-2012 06:04 AM

Parents take it away when I ignore them when they say to close it. Bs and Cs, bad to my parents.

Actually, my parents loved us too much. They wouldn't let us sleep over or do anything like leaving the apartment complex because they were afraid something would happen to us. Of course, this is all in the past. I'm 24 now so none of this applies anymore. Incredibly loving parents though, wouldn't trade em for more relaxed ones if I had the chance.

Getting grounded for B's on a report card or a B's on a test/quiz?

Azrael 04-18-2012 02:57 PM

Super Mario Bro's and Nintendo taken away when I started getting angry and began chucking the rectangular controller at the TV.

God I love Mario.

Skyzer 04-18-2012 07:45 PM

I love Mario's weminz. ;D

RileyFiery 04-18-2012 09:04 PM

I use to get my ass whipped (great aunt, grandma, aunt, dad, mother) (switches, paddles, fly swatters, bare hand, and belt) when I was bad. Some say this is wrong, but I'm doing fine (good job, good attitude, no anger issues) at the ripe ole' age of 29.
Life would have been so much easier if all I lost when I did something bad was my gaming console, unfortunately, I would lose it and get whipped. Tsk' Tsk'

Skyzer 04-19-2012 01:08 AM

I got my ass whooped when I did was bad, too. When I see a parent smack their kid I never blame the parent.

Yes, well another person joke can be another persons motivation for suicide.
Some peoples jokes aren't all that jokingly either. Not in the fact some might be offensive to others, but some jokes made by the person themselves might be to be accepted among others. I've been to Israel with someone, a guy who was raped by two girls. How he was saying it was jokingly since it was among guys, however by the sounds of it he didn't enjoy it and was slipped a drug.

(No, guys don't like to be raped no matter how many jokes some of you might make.)

Point is, you can't always tell.

I think we view 'such a thing' different.. In my own opinion, not letting you go out for a good reason are the same morals like thoughts as taking away something that might cause you to do bad in school. One privilege taken away for the good of your life..

We can agree to disagree?

A lot of these things are what the parents think are morally good whether you see it or not.. (for the most part). Parents that let others do whatever they like usually just don't care. Spoiling children I'm not sure can be considered caring though.. not setting them up for a good life or just don't know how to take care of children. o.O

Yeah, I'm assuming he created the post after my message as a troll or bashing stunt. I find it too coincidental.. I have no need to post anything in it.

Neither would I when I see it happen.

That stick, that's a medical problem David. You might want to get it out of there. If it goes in any further it might cause internal damage to your organs.
