For the forthcoming 2 weeks, we are offering the exclusive use of the Discord server to registered Graalians forum players !

Is the invite link permanent and has no users limit?
Because it’s telling me it’s expired. Discord IOS is glitchy so that may be the case too, I will try on pc later.

People showed me a screenshot of the read-me channel, if there is content in it but invisible to the members you might want to check the channel permissions.

The #read-me channel is empty and the #verify page is restricted like Saeed said, check permissions for the role. (Read message history) The invite link has also seemed to expire due to whatever reason.

My bad I reached discord servers limit I had to leave a server to be able to join this one.

Would of been nice to have been asked if the images I paid for and own could of been used instead of just using them without asking. Doesn’t bother me since I did get them for the community but it’s just common courtesy.

Hopefully you guys have someone with actual knowledge in Discord to set things up, Unixmad said “forthcoming” so it could have been intentional that people weren’t able to verify or read anything today.

Also uncensor the word Discord in Discord that makes absolutely no sense...

I get the idea is to prevent other channels advertising but there is better ways to do it, and they will just send the generated string for the invite code without having to type it’s for discord and everyone will already know that’s what it’s for anyway

It's almost like instead of prematurely launching the server and allowing everyone to see the lack of experience and janky bot coding, you could have hired someone who has two years of experience managing a Discord community for the game - maybe even someone who has coded integration between Graalians and Taylor Richaards and their Discord server without even having been provided an API, among thousands of lines of other Graal-to-Discord bot functionality

It's really quite a shame that someone like that doesn't exist, but I bet Blackfires will do a fantastic job

Edit: Oh, it seems I was banned from the Discord for no apparent reason right after posting this, so I guess I won't be able to see aforementioned fantastic job - good luck though

Just to recap, I was banned from this Discord server without being provided a reason

10 minutes after I joined, two accounts named "Thallen" showed up and I immediately DMed Moonie to let her know they were not me:

We're playing a social interactive game with fully functional forums. What is the discord going to serve as? Not a bad idea, but just curious..

Thallen is intimidating when you're up against him in spar, but he's a real sweetheart when you get to know him. As most of you already know, many players try to bring him down by tarnishing his name with false accusations or by other means like those Discord users who used his name for whatever mischievous thing they planned to do on the official server. He did not deserve that ban, and it would be swell if you could unban him. He is not a troublemaker.

I'm pretty sure you was banning people from your discord server without reason like blackfires and any graal staff that joined to check it out. However I'm not to sure why you got banned.

1. It's against THEIR OWN RULES to be joining my server
2. It's my personal server for me and my guild, so even if it wasn't against the rule that they themselves made, I'm not officially recognized by GraalOnline in any way and can personally do whatever I want off of the game
3. I never broke a single damn rule

I can't even comprehend how this timeline is logical:

I think most staff members weren't allowed so people could express their opinions without any backlash. If the reason is revenge, then that's pretty unprofessional
official discord servers should allow anyone verified to join and stay, until they break the server's rules

Oh man, I gotta agree... I myself am a Victim of Thallen's intimidating and sweet loving talk in spar. Ya just wanna fight him like how any spar goes. But he talks about the future and says everything gonna be ok. Breaks all our hearts every time with his sweet and loving ways(Can't believe I actually typed this lmao)

Staff members were told not to join CD (wither it was a good reason or a bad reason) so I would say Thallen done them a favor by banning them (if he did ban any staff) Otherwise, they may get in trouble for joining CD. By banning them a lot of unnecessary things can be avoided.
I don’t know anything regarding his ban in the official server so i’m not going to comment on that.

back to the topic though, the official discord is pretty empty. Should take notes from cd and add things like iclassic news, events, blob, and bazaar.

I didn't say this is why you was banned I have no idea why you was banned, and besides that we can join any discord we want? We just can't be running a discord that's graal related. Not sure who told you otherwise. Another thing is graal can't tell you who you can and can't have in your discord, it's YOUR discord. But we have indeed seen the negative backlash from you, lets not pretend to be innocent.

Also, I think we are going to add a feedback section to see what we should improve and change. The players opinion does matter and we are working on it.

You suggested that it may be why I was banned, and being that you're someone ranked pretty high on the staff totem pole that says a lot. You make it sound reasonable for me to be banned for managing my personal server the way I want to and even following the rules I was told by staff. It's concerning that this is even a thought that crosses your mind IMO.

Everyone except you told me otherwise actually, every Classic staff member that I've asked has told me this. Jarace seems like a pretty honest guy, so I'm sure he'll vouch for the fact that I've asked him this question several times and the reply has always been that Graal staff are not allowed on my server. I believe Snow Noob has told me the same, every single Classic staff member who was in my server told me that they were instructed to leave.
What does that even mean? Elaborate on the "negative backlash from me." Why do you guys constantly treat contributing members of the community like this? My server encourages people to play and even spend on Classic:

Blackfires has checked this thread multiple times and has claimed in DMs that he isn't the one who banned me, so I'd love to know who did and why. What's the point of making the forums official if no one addresses issues like this?

why even make an official graal discord server if you don’t intend on interacting with the community at all? banning a guy for seemingly no reason on your server’s launch day and then refusing to come forward and offer an explanation is a huge red light to me.

That is some unprofessional mess... Hopefully Thallen gets an answer to whatever questions he's had. Personally think the server was pretty okayish. It was nice seeing some known faces from the Classic community. Hope to see it grow some day into a decent community of active users. :sarcastic:
