Account sharing/purchasing
 

So I was hoping to get some information about this. Went by train station today and saw a group of players bragging about how they purchased/shared their accounts. I had believed that such actions weren’t allowed in graal, so I reported them and then PMd an admin. Nothing was done and the players are still doing the same actions.
Has this rule been changed? Or does it only account for certain things?

Honestly, I don't think it matters if you share your account. As long as it isn't for competitive reasons. That's what I believe anyway. Graal also somewhat implies through words of like "Be careful who you let on your account" and so on. Not "don't let anyone on your account for any reason" . I don't know about account selling. But as far as I know it you wanna let someone on your account and you trust them it's ok, as long as it isn't for competitive reasons. Probably was against the rules at some point but people share accounts actively anymore. Even i let my friends on my account time to time to have fun with it.

I mean. There’s a difference between having someone you know use your personal device to play on your account. It’s another thing to have someone purchasing your account or giving your account to someone else so that they can use it while evading a ban (that was what these players were doing).

Account sharing and such has generally been a bannable offense since the old PC days. I don't think sharing is that big of a deal (so long as it isn't for events like GST and such) but buying/selling accounts is something that is discouraged and punished to protect people.

Was this by any chance a guy named Muzak? he came to battle arena onetime looking to buy an account, not too long after he had a pretty old account with decent stats/hats and stuff so i assumed he bought it. Saw the same "muzak" guy constantly on new accounts after that, probably total 4-6. 1 or 2 of them had nothing retro but good spar stats so i assume he bought them to act like he was good in spar

Account trading of any form is not allowed. Account sharing for competitive reasons is not allowed, either. If you have someone you suspect of doing either as you say you do, feel free to message me and I can take a look.

I mean, I doubt you'd get banned if your buddy logs on and idles at Burger Refuge. It's still not encouraged.

Expect several messages from me on the day of every GST from this point forward cause people have done it the past 2 seasons, one of which causing a team to win where half of the players were doing this.

admins doesn't witch hunt, but when they find one, they do it right afaik.

I highly doubt you can get banned for having your buddy log on and gain hours or talk to people at graal city but you probably will get banned for having them use your account for competitve gameplay.

I've seen folks get banned for PK and BK leaderboard antics doing the 24/7 account trade off. It's super obvious when their flag changes every day...

50%+ of graalians have done this in ABSOLUTE secrecy. ALmost no one has been IP banned because the motives behind this was harmless. Just don't hack or use it for competitive benefits and you'll be fine.

I just find it odd how players who PURCHASE their accounts are getting away with it. It’s not as much about purchasing something on another persons account, or letting another player use it (close friend or relative). It’s more that these players are actually trying to buy/sell their accounts in-game or through things like discord. Either way, it’s completely ridiculous, as they did not put in the time and effort for the items and stats (especially in the case of the certain player who purchased it for GST items and a towering hat).

Account selling is not allowed. You are not supposed to be trying to sell your account on graal. Someone quitting may have sold their account outside of graal yes.

Honestly if someone who quits graal sells their account to someone and the admins figure it out, unlocking shouldn't even be the punishment. bit actively selling on graal is reasonable as a ban/unlink. Especially scammers

I bought my era from my 23 year old brother. Ban me for continuing his basing/sparring legacy then. I see no fault with buying a quitters account. Graal is based in a Capitalist Country. But yes if someone is trading and buying accounts just for competitive advantages then indeed unlink them for being a scumbag. But if you had the chance to get a 2010 players account for $50 I'd do it for the rare items, not for the competitive advantage. Anyways if it's been bought Everyone can tell it's not the original person anymore. I'm sorry but I'm kind of annoyed that you are complaining about us getting away with buying accounts that are going to just become completely unused from someone quitting. unless I guess if it's purchasing to share then ban hammer

I sparred for Westbrook and purposely lost to troll him during GST, haven’t been banend for account sharing yet though lol. (He paid me $50 to spar for him and get at least 3rd, get scammed kid lol)
